If you expect 5stars, forget it. But it’s clean, everything works and comfortable, it’s a good location and friendly helpful lady that runs it who speaks good English. What more do you want?

Big disappointment. Choose another hotel.
Made the bookings. We were on the road. Messaged them that we were running later than expected. Arrived there about midnight. Supposed to have a 24 hour front desk. They don’t. The whole place looked dirty. Not at all like the photos. The building has graffiti on it. Frankly I’m glad she refused to book us in. There was a much better hotel just around the corner. Yes it cost double, but that was because we could not prebook. Would I recommend the place we booked two rooms at. Not at all.

I only selected this hotel because it was the cheapest I could find on Expedia on the day of that was near the Coimbra train station, because all I needed it for was to leave my bags for a few hours while I toured the university and the botanical garden. There is no elevator. My first impression was wow, I don’t ever wan’t to stay there and whether I should even leave my bags here for a few hours?

Shabby but servicable
Probably a grand hotel once upon-a-time, the Hotel Avenida is now desperately in need of the renovations promised by signs posted around the hotel. The staff was nice, if unremarkable in their interactions with me. The room was clean, but shabby, as was the main sitting room, in which the wireless connection was strongest (though not strong enough to make a Skype call, key for a traveler). Lumpy pillows, hard bed, hot shower with plenty of water. Just fine if you're in town for a day or two, but nothing fancy.

Pro - 1. Located in a very good place, close to all points of interest in Coimbra 2. Hotel has few spots for free parking. Con - 1. Street is very noisy, heavy traffic is all night long. 2. Hotel is really outdated, needs renovation. 3. Breakfast just basic

Muito ruim, não tem ventilador, banheiro velhos, camas muito mas muito ruim ! Tudo é péssimo ! Não tem elevador Péssima experiência A única coisa que pôde-se elogiar são os funcionários, excelentes, não tem culpa da espelunca que é o hotel ! Não volto nunca mais lá !

Para quatro pessoas só tínhamos 2 toalhas. Só havia uma tomada de electricidade, se queríamos ver televisão não podíamos ter o a/c portátil ligado. A Sra da recepção era simpática.

Accueillis par une remplaçante sans doute (elle ne semblait pas très au courant), chambre poussiéreuse avec un morceau de la corniche tombant derrière la porte, salle d'eau très vieillissante comme le reste et sans ménage (urine dans les WC), joints noircis, il a fallu demander une rallonge pour brancher le radiateur. Quel dommage, cet établissement a dû être très bien par le passé !

Pessimo albergo. Unici vantaggio vicino al centro.
Arrivati, ingresso datato, ma molto sgangherato e sporco. Camera antica con mobili bellini, pavimento e letto in legno ma sgangherati e sporchi. Bagno sporco senza sapone ed altro. Freddissima e senza possibilità di riscaldamento. Wi-fi impercettibile. Mancanza di internet per pagamento (pagamento contanti). PESSIMO TUTTO.

Hotel barato
Trata-se de um hotel muito barato e bem localizado, no entanto tem suas desvantagens. Os quartos não são confortáveis, tem cheiro de mofo e não são limpos, mas para quem procura algo barato (estudantes) e para ficar apenas alguns dias, tá valendo.

Toen we daar aan kwamen wisten ze van niks EXPEDIA had niks door geven maar gelukkig waren er nog kamers Terwijl ik telefonisch met hotel.com had gebeld hierover omdat ik eerst het verkeerde email adres had door geven en hun deze hebben veranderd daarna Ging ik ervan uit dat dit goed geregeld was en omdat ik met mijn ouders en broer met gezin was hadden we 2 familie kaners geboekt Gelukkig waren er nog kamers maar deze waren niet echt schoon maar gelukkig wel schone lakens en de douche bij ons had wel warm water maar de kamer van mijn broer niet Dit was ook niet zo handig met de dag van de uitvaart want je wil toch netjes voir de dag komen en voor de prijs van de kamer vonden wij toch voor de kamers die we kregen te duur maar hebben dit maar genomen omdat we geen zin hadden om iets anders te zoeken voor 7 personen

Hotel in ottima posizione per visitare Coimbra ma in pessime condizioni di manutenzione e con un persistente odore di baccalà che aleggia per tutto l'edificio. Il wii fii funziona male in camera, meglio nelle aree comuni.

不潔・不親切・危険
浴室の扉が開かなくなり、閉じ込められた。死ぬかと思った。ホテル全体が暗く、不潔で、管理が悪い。浴室が臭い。スタッフも不親切で無責任。ポルトガル語しか話せない人がいたり、会計システムを理解していないので２倍払わされそうになったりした。

Avenida decadente!
Hotel decadente. Net sem qualidade! não havia qualquer copo no quarto (nem nos banheiros!!!). qualquer qualidade! no hall um ou dois "velhinhos" circulavam como se tratasse de um lar da 3ª idade! O hotel nao aceita nenhum cartão nem de crédito nem de débito!! só "dinheiro vivo" o que permite presumir "fuga ao fisco".Daí ter solicitado recibo com nº de contribuinte, claro. Preço elevado na media nacional, na relação qualidade/preço! Ficando no hotel Avenida, Coimbra nao deixa saudades na hora da despedida! Gente simpática não chega! é preciso profissionalismo!
