    About this property

    Upper Level of Main House

    Adults-only holiday home in Wapiti
This house is a new house situated on top of Cabin 2. It has vaulted log ceilings, custom granite inlaid tile and two bedrooms with a comfy hide-a-bed sofa in the living room. There is a pellet stove for added comfort in the cooler Mountain evenings. You are situated in the mountains and surrounded by stunning mountain views. There is a deck for your enjoyment with a barbeque grill so you can dine inside or out and enjoy the fresh air. You will not find a prettier house or better views anywhere! The property has a washer and dryer, dishwasher, stove, french door refrigerator and plenty of room to spread out. There is a convenience store located just below the hill from the house that has a limit selection of food, beer and snacks and very competitive gas prices (The store closes at 9pm). Cody is located 20 miles from this property if you wish for a bigger selection of food. I suggest that guests bring or buy food prior to arriving at the cabin to prevent having to drive back to town. There are plenty of lodges between Cody and Yellowstone that serve dinner, breakfast and have great food. Fishing is approximately 1 mile to the north of the property on the Shoshone River with great trout fishing. Horseback riding is just a couple of miles in either direction of the cabin for those that want to take a ride into the mountains. Wildlife abounds around this property and it is not unusual to see deer eating the shrubs and grasses on the property. Guests can get very close since they have been habituated to humans in the area but I suggest that guests keep their distance. They will chase dogs and it's against the law for pets to harass the wildlife in case you are bringing your pet. Come and enjoy a little piece of heaven but plan to spend a few days since Cody offers so many things to do, you will never have enough time to see or enjoy it all.
Guest accommodations at this holiday home feature washing machines.

      Rustic Cabin Great Location

This cabin is very nicely decorated in a rustic, western theme. We found it to be clean, spacious, and comfortable. It is in a very scenic location between Cody and the East Yellowstone entrance. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and the beds comfortable with nice linens. My husband and I slept on the sofa sleeper for 3 nights and found it to be more comfortable than expected. There were nice sheets, blankets and pillows for it as well. The kitchen is nice and as described. We found pretty much everything we needed although some cookware has certainly seen it's day and should be retired. I did find other cookware in better shape to use. Be sure to pay close attention to the amenties listed for this cabin. The list is so short I thought it incomplete only to find upon arrival that there is no central air or heat. It isn't listed in the amenities so that means there is none. We were traveling with 2 elderly family members so this was of concern to me since it was unseasonably warm when we arrived. Rayna was very nice to bring an extra fan and it turned out fine. Just be aware if this is important to you. This cabin is not secluded, there are several others in close proximity along with an RV sitting right next door. I was confused because the booking is listed under Nicole Baggs but my correspondence was with Rayna. That and the fact that our arrival date was fast approaching without any communication was making me nervous but once we did touch base everything was fine. Overall, very nice cabin in great location. I would recommend it.
