Absolutely wonderful stay. Stayed one night for a wedding nearby, we had a lovely welcome on check in and really useful with taxi details and just being lovely. The rooms are gorgeous, modern but still in keeping with the property. The bathroom was lovely, as was the tea coffee and biscuits! Really comfy as well. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. The views are incredible. I would actually come back and stay just to go on walks round the area / relax at the hotel because it was so nice - wouldn’t say that about anywhere else we have gone for one night for a wedding/event! Thank you for having us!

Simply lovely 😍
We stayed here with friends to attend a wedding party near-by. From the get go we were welcomed by Fran as if we were part of her family, check in was simple, no fuss at all. Our room was large, fairly rustic, but with a very nice wet room for anyone wanting a bit of luxury. We brought a lovely bottle of wine from cellar, to start the evening before the bar itself opened. Upon meeting all our friends in the bar area and smelling the food from the kitchen we all contemplated staying at the Inn instead of going out. After the celebrations, we returned to the Inn and enjoyed a great nights sleep in a large, comfy bed. In the morning, breakfast was buffet style,self service, basic, but tasty and plentiful. All in all..The Red Pump Inn was a great place to stay and we would happily return and recommend to others.10/10 Thanks Fran and Jonathan 👍

Adequate but not special
They tried to charge me £136 again on arrival. I explained that this was my 11th night on hotel.com and I’d therefore already paid. Was told “that’s your business” I said no it’s not it’s yours. Even when i produced the evidence, I did not get an apology. Breakfast is continental which is not specified. Only a bath in the room with an inadequate shower head. Overall it was an ok stay, but not value for the money paid.

Overnight wedding stay
The red pump inn really is a gem, and a great find. We will definitely be back! Beautiful country style reception areas, and bar areas, with open fires. Very atmospheric and comfortable. The rooms are also lovely, with a different, French influence. Immaculately clean too. Good buffet breakfast with bacon and sausage, and one of the best cups of coffee we have ever had!! Hubby and I are coffee snobs.

The welcome received from Fran and Brad was great! We will be back at some point. And what a fabulous breakfast! All in all very comfortable and happy stay in an amazingly beautiful part of the world, when it's not raining!

Highly recommended
We stayed here as our daughter was getting married nearby and it was recommended by the wedding venue. Fran & Jonathan gave us a warm & friendly welcome. We stayed in the Pendle View room which was fabulous with amazing views. The full English breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to go back.

Highly Recommend The Red Pump Inn
From the moment we arrived the attentive staff made sure that our stay was excellent. We arrived early but every effort was made to make the room ready asap. Terrific relaxed conversation with the staff in the evening and lovely (vegetarian friendly) breakfast ready in the morning. It cold not have been a better stay.

The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor alongside the standards kept oozes a place that's loved. The food and service were equally excellent and everyone was so friendly. The bedroom was comfortable and nicely presented.

Yurt stay in April
We stayed in yurts which were beautiful inside and comfortable. I was not cold over night but it was very cold out and all the pipes were frozen in the morning. We had to go inside the pub to use the toilets and washrooms. The meal in the pub was excellent.

This place has great potential but cold certainly do better with some improvements. 1- The Covid measures are very weak when compared to other places we stayed in the previous 2 weeks. No masks worn by staff, vague and not managed one way system, decorative cushions on the beds, it feels like a little bit of Covid denial is happening here. 2 - Food is ok but very overpriced 3 - Breakfast doesn't start until 8.30 Positives - Friendly and knowledgeable Barman

Stayed for one night on 16th Sept 2020. Initially booked a room but when we arrived we saw the glamping yurts and were blown away by them. Staff were welcoming and friendly and changed us to a yurt no problem and gave us a discount on it. One of the best experiences yet! Spacious and comfortable and very cosy. Would definitely recommend! Food was amazing with a lot of choice including breakfast. I love an hour away but would happily drive up just for the food! Will definitely be staying again and highly recommend.
