"We reserved a tent for a glamping experience for a family member who was visiting from New York. The first night was actually quite nice. The tent was large and had beds inside that were surprisingly comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit of a trek but they were adequate for camping. The showers were chilly and actually kind of dirty but what you would expect in the circumstances. The problem occurred the second night. There was a big monsoon rainstorm and so we were in the tent early with nothing to do but try to sleep. The tent started to leak and soon was dripping in several places. We ended up leaving in the storm and finding a hotel room two and a half hours away so we could get a good night sleep. I know you can't control the weather but there should have been some better waterproofing and a way to make the path to the car and the bathrooms so that we could walk without being in the mud up to our ankles. The host was friendly and all in all we might actually try again. The sunset was beautiful and the sky was gorgeous the first night."
Johnson Creek Cabin * Outstanding Views * 5 Acres of Social Distancing * Sleeps8
10/10 Excellent
"I think I must’ve missed that there was no a/c in the cabin, which I was upset about when we first arrived but turned out fine because we just opened all the windows to sleep at night and it was great! . I really thought it was gonna be more secluded than it was. I think the cabin that sat just up the little dirt drive really made it look a little trashy. But we really did have a great time and had plenty of room for our group of six! It was a neat little cabin and we liked it. We spent a lot of time on the deck looking at the beautiful view!"
"Gorgeous view, great location. Teepee was super spacious, beds were very comfortable and cozy, very comfortable sleeping accommodations overall. The bathrooms and showers were under construction, so there were upscale portable bathrooms and showers that were not the best, but ok. Overall a great stay!"
"We really enjoyed our stay here! It was a unique experience and we’d definitely recommend it. The only downside was that there’s no A/C, so during the summer it can take a while for the tent to cool down at night. Because of that, I personally wouldn’t stay for more than two nights. Overall, though, we had a great stay and would come back."
