The Christmas decorations added a welcoming personal touch. We all, especially the dogs, loved the space of the gardens and the kitchen area. Altogether it made for a relaxing and informal week that was still very special and will stay in our memories for a long time. I'd never used an aga before, but experimentation paid off and the Christmas turkey was a big success. There were plenty of rings and warming ovens to cook and keep all the trimmings ready for service. The surrounding area is of course full of fresh air and beauty, whilst the cathedral and bishops palace at St Davids are not to be missed. It was too damp and muddy for comfortable local exploration so we stuck to the coasts for our walks, but there is so much to see and do!
