It was conveniently located near the train station and close to the cruise port. The views of the Sea were beautiful and it was near many restaurants. Breakfastwasverygod with lots of variety. I would highly recommend this hotel for cruise passengers.

My only complaint is the perfume smell in our room, in the lounge, in the halls, etc. If you are sensitive to perfume, stay somewhere else. Otherwise, the hotel is really nice, is close to everything, has a great included breakfast and a large lounge for relaxing with friends.

Gem of hotel in Civavecchia
1940's ish hotel. Inside great marble lobbies, 20 ft arched cielings. Clean rooms, appears nearly renovated with newer furnitre. Great bathroom except lather up with body soap to squeeze thru shower doors. LOL. Breakast buffect outstanding!!! Small elevator, fridge in room, no microwave. VITALES great cheap place to eat block away.

Excellent location. Cleanliness and staff OK. This hotel seems to be a good fit for cruise passengers but, unfortunately, my stay was terrible because there was a problem with uncontrollable, excessive heating (my room as well as my friends' room) that necessitated leaving the window open, thereby hearing the trains rumble through the nearby train station throughout the night. Then, around 5:30 AM, a continuous motor noise began inside the wall or ceiling of my room that was loud enough to wake the dead. Apparently, this is a known issue but they put guests in that room anyway; when I called the front desk, frightened by the noise, they merely told me to wait for the noise to stop. Needless to say, I advise future guests to ask a lot of questions when checking into this hotel.

We paid for an ocean view and got very little. You had to walk outside on the balcony in order to see view. Very disappointed

I was surprised at the Citiavecchia area. There are many hotels in the area and they are all circa 1970. It is a beautiful area many restaurants even a McDonalds! The rooms at Hotel de la Ville are clean but older. If I would do a cruise out of Citiavecchia again prior to cruising I might stay in Rome the night before and transport in.

Really enjoyed our stay. Room was great and very quiet. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. It had a variety of American and European options. It was buffet style but in a beautiful restaurant setting.

Really loved the upper corner room for its fantastic view, spaciousness and cleanliness. Really liked the hotel for its central location, great breakfast and courteous staff. The hotel is run down though. Plus, did not appreciate having to wait until after 3 p.m. to access our room.

The recepionist Marina was very pleasant and helpful in getting me shuttle service with a mobility scooter. Wished the grotto would have been open even just to see. The breakfast was very good and i felt that the cost of my stay was a great value.

Location was perfect for overnight stay before cruise. Beautiful bright room with view of the sea. 10 minute walk to cruise shuttle, lots of good restaurants closeby. Very clean and comfortable beds. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will stay here again.

Sure, is an older property, but it is well loved and cared for. Our bed was super comfortable, and the room was huge! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, and we appreciated the helpfulness of the front desk staff. The hotel is just across the street from the water and several restaurants are nearby.
