Close proximity to just about everything, this quiet spot in pacific heights is a great place to take SF at a leisurely house, while getting a sense of the architectural and artistic styles in the city at the turn of the last century. and the staff was supper friendly and helpful, arranging everything we needed!

The hotel itself is pretty amazing and charming. The rooms were very nice with everything we needed. We stayed in the one bedroom suite. The only negative was prob the pull out bed was not very comfortable but we needed a separate room for my husband and son while I needed to go night feeding for our baby. Parking is not free but reserved for hotel parking right across the street. The breakfast was great and the staff was super attentive and wonderful! It's also walking distance to Japan town, Filmore St which has lots of restaurants and about 13 blocks from union square. Would stay here again and recommend it.

The look of the motel from the road doesn't do it justice. While the room is a little outdated the bathroom and kitchenette areas were really nicely refurbished to give a modern look. Hotel is within easy walk to the Wharf areas. Bonus is free parking in this area.

I've stayed here twice and will again. The hotel has pleasing design/decor and is reasonably priced. You get free breakfast in the on-site restaurant until 10am. There is a coffee/tea maker and bottled water in room. Good free wifi and cable TV channels/reception. Nice/plentiful toiletries. The neighborhood is the only problem -- as much as the Tenderloin offers, it is still really rough -- homeless/angry people and filth on the streets. If you're ok with that, there are cool clubs, bars and restaurants -- and you're very close to Union Square and lots of public transit.
