Nice location. Good room size.

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Look. Everything at hotel is good. But listen hot water tea kettle is standard. Don't tell me to go downstairs to the bar to get hot water and don't tell me you'll charge 3 euros if someone from room service brings kettle. Put kettle in room. Keep it simple. Anyway good hotel. Can use fresher up.

Staying with cockroach

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Pros: Place of hotel, size of room, bathroom
Cons: They must kill the insects in the hotel. Putting a water boiler and towel slipper improves hotel's service.
Location: With one word, the location is magnificient. You can reach nearly whole historical monuments on foot.
In my second day, I see a huge cockroach in the room. It is a big problem for a four star hotel. Another problem is there is not a water boiler and a towel slipper in the room. Room is OK. The place of hotel is marvelous.

Excellent hotel, right in the heart of Valencia.

Posted 07-Jul-2017
Pros: Location, ambiance, professionalism of staff.
Location: Central location, close to all the sights. The square behind the cathedral, a five minute walk from the hotel, is well worth a visit.
The Astoria Palace is an excellent base to explore Valencia. It has a fantastic location, right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of all the main sights. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated; staff are friendly and professional; rooms are a good size, cleaned to a high standard, with a good variety of complimentary toiletries. The well stocked bar gives surprisingly good value for money compared to similar hotels elsewhere. Just outside the hotel is a pretty square with two or three restaurants providing open air seating. My wife and I stayed ther for a short city break and if we return to Valencia we would happilly stay at this hotel again.

Good location

Posted 07-Jul-2017
room was large but a little dated. Not very clean and therefore made me feel a little uncomfortable. Lots of fluff on bathroom ceiling and scum around bath/stains. On the plus side, great location, close to restaurants etc and metro, staff were great.

Where's the coffee?

Posted 01-Jul-2017
Cons: Coffee making stuff in the room.
Nice hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Minor gripes, being no coffee making facilities. Or soap dish. But happy to go back

Clean, modern hotel close to the centre

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Very helpful staff in a clean, modern, air conditioned room. It was close to the centre and occasionally was slightly noisy. We had a room that was separated from the room next door by a locked door. Unfortunately this meant that it sometimes sounded like the people next door were close enough to be in our room. It was close to some excellent cafes just a stone's throw away from the front door of the hotel. We had a hire car and parking for the hotel was a public car park which cost 20 Euros per day. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
