Lovely hotel. WiFi not consistent throughout. Some areas excellent, some non existent.
Five minutes from two beaches and ten minutes to another one. A quiet resort with a few restaurants. However, lots going on at the hotel throughout the day and into the evening. Staff very friendly and would remember your bar order. Food excellent with a buffet breakfast. If you wanted evening meal, that too was buffet and very cheap! €17 a head.
If I had to be really picky, I would say that the walls in the bathroom were a little thin and it was easy to hear other rooms.
We booked two nights at Can Faustino after a busy week staying with family in a villa on the island. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a great location, moments from the hustle and bustle of the port and it's easy to explore (and get lost in) the myriad narrow, cobbled streets of Ciutadella. We stayed in a room on the ground floor with a small, private terrace which was beautiful. The room is well equipped and furnished in a contemporary and stylish way. The WC was located within the shower, which was a little quirky but overall a great standard. The service here is exceptional and you receive a very warm welcome. We were met on the street by a valet who parked our car and loaded our luggage. They had anticipated our arrival from an earlier call. This was representative of the service we enjoyed throughout. My only criticism (and this is tiny) is that at breakfast the staff seemed a little over stretched which was at odds with our experience generally. We often waited a while before we could get the attention of the staff to order. This wasn't due to the lack of effort on the part of the waiting staff. More the fact they seemed extremely busy. This is a tiny criticism and I wouldn't hesitate in booking again. A really great hotel.
We have just returned from a week in Prinsotel la Caleta and had a truly amazing time. The hotel was perfect. Two lovely clean pools with loungers and beds. Beautifully landscaped all around. A beautiful, smart bar indoors and a poolside bar serving food out by the pool. There was hotel entertainment every night but that's not really my thing so we only stayed to watch it one night before going out.
There is an amazing beach set in a small cove which was literally 2 minutes walk away from the hotel. The beach was manned by 2 life guards had 2 bar/cafes serving ice cold beers and amazing cocktails amongst other things plus lovely food. There were sun loungers. Crystal clear blue waters. Palm trees. A delightful family of resident ducks! An amazing bar/restaurant built into the side of the rock which you could actually swim to!! Ah just an amazing place! We'll definitely go back. So chilled. Loved it.

Quiet location within easy 5 min walk to bars and restaurants and shops in lovely square / easy for scenic old city, near to port area, for seafood and wide selection of other restaurants. Close to buses for beaches and to other towns. Really pleased with how convenient I found it. Breakfast was fantastic value - varied and fresh, good quality ingredients. Reception staff really helpful and pleasant, particularly Bet, Good job! Quiet, attractive tree lined street. No partying - which I liked - very peaceful and relaxing.
The Hotel was a good 10 - 15 min walk from the tourist centre which is just perfect for my family and I. The hotel put on entertainment every night that varied in quality but the Children loved it which means Mum and Dad did too.
There is a nice supermarket near by to buy goods for the room which appears to give better value than if you went for All Inclusive. We wen't for Self Catering, so no problems there.
All in all a good weeks holiday was had.
If you are going by a private airline, don't pre book a taxi as its a lot cheaper just getting one when you get there.
Pocket Guide: Menorca Ciutadella de Menorca Hotels
Menorca’s most attractive town, Ciudadella is a charming unspoiled warren of elegant 18th- and 19th-century mansions, palaces and churches. At its heart is a typically Spanish gothic-baroque cathedral, a picturesque arcaded shopping street, Ses Voltes, and a quaint old market area. The shopping is the best on the island, and for nightlife and eating out it rivals the capital Mahon.
