We arrived at the hotel on the first night and found no shampoo or body soap in our bathroom. We had to use hand soap instead. It was very frustrating.

it is a 4 star hotel, has no minibar, has no restaurant or coffe shop that works later in the evening, no room service. If you want some roomservice it is by the coffeshop Costa. Do not understand the 4 stars. Anyway, rooms are ok but small, the location of the hotel i very good. Bathroom is tiny, very very small. Not a lot of soap there, no lotion, nothing more than handsoap, an empty showersoap and a hair conditioner. For the location it is worth a 4 star but otherwise it's a 3 star hotel.

A great weekend London break
We had an amazing stay, hotel let us check in early so we could get off for lunch and the theatre . The hotel is well placed for theatre food and shopping. Our room was a good size and bed very comfy. We will stay there again.

This property is at the heart of it all. Situated in between Piccadilly and Trafalgar means you can get to most things in the heart of London easily. Highly recommend for location alone, but room was nice and staff were great. We were on the 7th floor (top) and had great views and no noise, which was surprising because it’s a busy corner.

Right in the centre of the buzzing west end. Good hotel, not so grand as the publicity photo but functional for a London break. Would recommend.

The shower door did not close fully so water went all over the floor after shower. Disappointed that the hotel still advertises a bar resteraunt even though they no longer have either.

Meh, it'll do.
Hotel room was a bit run-down and the bed is rock hard but the staff were really lovely and very helpful. Annoyingly there was some kind of door alarm that was going off in an ajoining building in the early hours so not a great night of sleep.

The hotel was convenient for what we wanted to experience in London. However, because the hotel is in a historic building. We experienced several nights of no hot water due to repair work on the boiler. The front desk staff was very helpful. The housekeeping staff was very friendly.

Staff dishonest about trouble with climate control. Changed our hotel location, many people complaining. They were not helpful and offered no compensation, even something small would have made people less mad.

The central location is the best thing about this hotel. It’s an older property that’s been redecorated to seem like a “boutique “ type hotel. The rooms are decent size but there’s very limited room to store your clothes. Sticky carpeting. Two of the nights we were there there was no hot water in the entire hotel from 9pm to 9am due to boiler maintenance issues. No bar or restaurant on property.

Very nice staff except for one night receptionist man yelling at a guest one night, telling her to leave because he could help her. Our room was the junior suite and had a lovely view. There was, however, a black substance in the shower in many spots. The shower drain became loose and I almost fell when it came loose. Once loose you could see it was covered in gray grime. It was eventually cleaned, it the black in the shower was not. The breakfast was excellent with the most charming and helpful host, Cyril. The location is between Piccadilly and Leicester Squares and not far from Chinatown and theaters,

Just don’t like some of the staff. They look like they hate being there. Not a warm feeling. Typical to Thistle, because the other Thistle had the same reception. It is an expensive hotel so they should spend some effort in training some of their people to be friendly. Their reception was friendly but their breakfast crew was not welcoming.

Thistle Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square
We booked a 2 night stay at the Thistle Piccadilly. Our flight to London was cancelled last minute so we were unable to make the first night. I tried to phone the hotel directly to tell them to hold the room but there was no answer from the front desk so I called the Hotel.com help. They said they talked to the hotel and the room would be held. When we finally arrived around noon the room had been given away as a no show. Apparently the hotel’s central reservation cancelled it. At first the front desk said they could it help me. Again called hotel.com who talked to central reservations. Finally the hotel said they could get us a room at the Trafalgar Square sister property very close by. I must say, once the hotel agreed they had made an error their service was amazing, and they went out of their way to get us settled, and we had a very nice room. I’d say 5* for everything except for the communication between hotel and their own central reservations, and me not being able to reach the Thistle’s front desk.

Clean and Comfy
Clean and very comfy bed. Excellent location and very quiet considering proximity to Leicester square. Bathroom a little tired. 2 complaints - very poor quality toilet paper and we hung our towels up to reuse but they were taken away anyway.
