"It was great from beginning to end. It is in the center of Old cairo, in a small alley just 10 meters from a busy street, 15 minutes walking to main square. All the sfatt was very friendly and helpful. They came down to get us from the taxi and helped us with the luggage, breakfast is varied, and with local flavor, enough to start the day, I would only suggest to start earlier like 7am at least, other than that it was all great."

"Don’t believe the pictures you see on the website…at least not yet! They claim they are renovating to the level that is shown. They may have one or two rooms now (just for the pictures?!?!?) but the majority of the rooms are ~60% there. For instance, our shower had no barrier glass to contain the water. Water was anll over the bathroom floor. And I highly doubt you’ll get the same price once the property is fully renovated. Things to note: no air conditioners in the rooms (at least not yet, but it didn’t look likely for the future). The breakfast is nominal at best - you get what you pay for. It’s downtown so it’s going to be loud due to the constant honking of cars on the street. (The driving here is mayhem!) Last hint, to no fault of the hotel: if you arrive late night, don’t be surprised upon arrival. We’re told its overall safe, but it looks super sketchy and dirty - by American/Western standards. That’s Cairo. During the day, it’s hustle and bustle downtown. Also expect the Islamic “call to prayer” at 4:00 in the morning - every morning! Viaje: You need to be more upfront with potential customers about the current condition of the hotel. We got blind-sided for sure. "

"BEWARE I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel and feel compelled to warn future guests. During our stay, money went missing from the safe in my room, as well as from the safe in my friend’s room. At first, I honestly found it hard to believe — after all, how can money go missing from a locked safe? I assumed there must be some mistake. However, after becoming suspicious, I deliberately arranged the notes in a specific position before leaving the room. When I returned, some of the money was gone and the remaining notes had clearly been moved. At that point, it was undeniable that something was wrong. We immediately raised this with hotel staff, expecting it to be taken seriously. Instead, our concerns were brushed off with no proper investigation, no accountability, and no real effort to resolve the situation. The lack of concern and professionalism was just as troubling as the missing money itself. A hotel safe is supposed to provide peace of mind. Sadly, that was not our experience. I would strongly advise other guests to be extremely cautious with their valuables if choosing to stay here. Very disappointing experience."
