All the staff we meet were very helpful and polite. We found this especially when one of our party had their wallet stolen including the room key. The staff were efficient and helpful which was very reassuring for us through a difficult time.
Although its location appears away from the main attractions, the bus runs right outside making it perfect to access the city of sciences, old town and beach. Pool is a real bonus and its a great value hotel to base your stay in Valencia.
I stayed for 2 days and enjoyed myself. The hotel let me rent a bike for a good price and the breakfast was buffet style. My TV did not work, but that inspired me to go to the pool instead. It was verrry cold but I was able to warm up in the sauna. It's a cute place.

Just a few minutes walk from the Palau de la Musica and withing walking distance of some of the city's main tourist …More
I liked it there, it was a comfy stay.
I think I would have enjoyed it more if we could do our laundry and iron our evening attires. The laundry takes a whole day as is. I wish it would be available for public use on location.
This is a difficult review to write. Our second stay in Valencia following our week at NH Centre. So this year we decided on NH but in a different location to get another perspective. We chose VillaCarlos and booked through Expedia. Unfortunately Expedia did not pass on the change in ownership and so some of our plans were thwarted as was plan b. So having discovered by chance that VC was no longer NH we made some enquiries and ever the optimist we set off to Valencia. A little walk from Aragon metro we arrived and as the superior room, the one with balcony was taken,we settled in to room 301 on the front. A little small to what we are used to but with an empty fridge things looked up. The room was quiet, the bathroom good and bed was large enough! So after our initial grump we appreciated its advantages. It is quite central we could walk in to town, and with busses outside Valencia and beyond was near at hand. Number two to the beach, four to the town and no doubt three will take us somewhere. With an EMT card or two, that is another story, we were happy to spend our time at VC. No outdoor area is a down, taxi driver cerveseria helps but a quick walk takes you to Turia park, it is without doubt my number one reason for going to Valencia
"Great hotel, located by City of Art and Sciences"
I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Barcelo Valencia and can say that what a pleasant comfortable stay it was too.
Situated right across from the main City of Art and Science complex, it was quite centrally located if you look at what plenty of other tourist things to do there is in Valencia itself. It's about half hour walk to the beach one way, and half an hour the other direction the the city centre itself. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel door and the number 19 travels both ways in what is a 10/15 journey.
The hotel itself is very clean and well presented in all areas. Theres a spacious lobby with a small bar and restaurant adjacent. The rooftop terrace bar (only open general from 9/10pm onwards) is worth a drink for the lovely night time views of the surrounding areas.
The staff were very nice when I checked in, and always helpful if I required directions or local advice.
My room was outstanding in my opinion. I had asked for a room with a shower as opposed to bath, and that request was met... much to my delight and surprise, it was a huge rainforest style shower. Amazing! The bed was more than comfy and the decor was fantastically contemporary and clean.
A Metro from the Airport on the number 5 (green line) to Amistat costs 4 Euros, then a short 10 min walk from there. I would throughly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good hotel that isn't in the main city centre.
