We stayed 5 nights. The hotel is a short walk to the Arts and Science complex which is well worth seeing. Bus service is excellent, #19 stops right at the door - one direction into Old Town, the other direction to the beach. Lots of restaurants close by, also a large shopping center within walking distance. We walked into Old Town through the municipal park that follows the old river bed. It is very scenic and only took about 40 minutes.
Hotel was very comfortable except that there is very poor soundproofing between rooms.
The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. They had parking, although it can be somewhat diabolical trying to get into and out of the tiny spaces. The location is just 10 minute walk to the Calatrava buildings and just across the street from the pretty city park.
"A new facility in AQUA mall near ocean + museums"
Confusing buildings in a nice mall called AQUA. Aqua 3 and Aqua 4 hotels are 2 buildings next to each other - different pricing. Rooms are new, clean and relatively inexpensive. Internet (good speed) was included along with a decent breakfast. Felt more like a business hotel.
Location - walk to nearby science museum and other cool things. Take a bus along the shore to the city beach which is really nice. Buses are convenient and frequent. Getting to the hotel from the railway station is a bit challenging; recommend a taxi (taxis are very cheap in Valencia for some reason; for a family of 5, sometimes cheaper than metro tickets).
Being in a mall meant lots of food choices were available although our hotel wing did not have a pool that the other seemed to have. Apart from a decent room, no other amenities were available. Reception staff friendly and nice. Valencia has a lot of English speakers so Spanish speaking is not a must. Good shopping - also a large grocery store in the mall.
Not too far from the city center which is absolutely gorgeous with many great places to eat. Our only regret - we should have stayed at least 2-3 days in Valencia! Great place....
"Good Hotel walking distance to the main part of th"
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The car park was a little tight but manageable. We walked to the Beach and found some great bars on the beach. Very good little area. We then came back and went to a Tapas Bar for dinner recommended by staff at the hotel. We only had one night here but could have stayed for 2-3 nights. The only thing I would save is, there was an odour coming from the bathroom in the morning. It was not there at night.
Thus is a modern hotel with excellent facities. Although a city hotel it has an outdoor pool and relaxing outdoor terrace and bar area. Lovely to sit at night. The bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable with spacious bathrooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of little cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel and just opposite an excellent shopping mall. Beside the science park, it is roughly a pleasant 30 minute walk to the centre of the old city. Would thoroughly recommend.
Stayed for the motogp so we weren't in the hotel much. Its not in the old town so you have to get a bus into the old town to pick up the metro. Its not far and the buses are easy but if you prefer you could get a cab to the train station at San Isidric and then get the train to the track. Taxi form this hotel to the train station takes about 20 minutes. Hotel rooms were very clean. staff were helpful and knowledgeable abut how to get around
We stayed at Casual Valencia for four nights. The Hotel is located one third of the way between the old town and the beach. The old town maybe 25 to 30 mins walk. The Metro about 15 minutes walk at Aragon.
We stayed for the MotoGP motorcyle race and found the Casual fitted our needs exactly. A fridge in the room was useful as we needed to make sandwiches etc for the day at the race circuit. The only down side was the lack of tea or coffee in the room.
