Wonderful hotel. It's stylish, comfortable, and in a great location just a short walk from old Riga. All the staff is very helpful and friendly. Everyone was smiling and cheerful. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the bar open relatively late and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
Good quality food and service in the restaurant. Our suite was spacious with a tiny kitchenette. Lacked final touches you would expect for this price. Hotel staff not spontaneously friendly but responded to requests well.

Central location, only a short walk from the Old Town, main attractions and the train station. Neat, clean, modern room with ample space for two beds. Good breakfast with a variety of options although the porridge and other supposedly hot food was often just tepid. Spa was clean and attractive although the pool is only really a dipping pool and was often a splash pool for families with children. Only downside for some would be the noise which was not blocked by the double glazing. Cars could be heard on the three lane road outside until late at night and from six in the morning. No air-con left us in a heat vs noise situation. This didn't detract for us but may need to be a consideration for others.
i moved into this hotel from another 4 star on the other side of the river. it's definitely closer to the old town and from a trustworthy brand, however it's a mix bag for me.
the good: it has the facilities of a 4 star, in room safe, air conditioning, electronic kettle for making coffee or tea. clean room and a deep bathtub in the bathroom that is rare to find in smaller hotels.
the soso: breakfast is ok, the selection is very limited but enough to get the day going.
the bad: the transportation is a little bit awkward because it's not that close to the main streets where the buses or trolleys run. it took some effort for me to discover the nearest stops for different route, otherwise the walking to old town is at least 15 minutes; what i hate the most is the bed, the pillows are small and not comfortable, the mattress saggy and there are 2 very narrow quilts for the double bed, in fact it's so narrow that i could barely cover myself and i am a skinny guy, not sure how other plus people can survive.
i would still recommend this hotel for it's competitive rate, but be warned of the sleeping quality.
Clean, spacious rooms. Excellent location in a very good neighbourhood close to Art Nouveau sights around Alberta street but still in easy walking distance to the old town. Friendly, accommodating staff. An easy recommendation.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest people. The hotel staff treated us like we owned the place. They put us in room 504, which was across from the old church and we had a nice view of part of the town. We really enjoyed our room, it was large and comfortable. The bed was typical European and we slept very nice. We had a two person bathtub and that is unusual for the places I travel to. If I had any suggestion at all, it would be to turn up the heat on the hot water... it was pretty warm but not "bath" hot.
The hotel is located a real easy 10 minute walk to "Old Town". You pass through the Market area, which is hard to not want to walk around and see. That market had everything, so when you see it, spend some time. The walk around Old Town is easy as the town itself is not that large. Lots of history to see. The food was great, the beer was great, the people were great.
With the iconic Freedom Monument towering above, Riga's City Centre opens up to wide, tree-lined avenues and restored 19th century architecture. Riga is Latvia's capital city and the largest in the Baltic region. The City Centre is also home to the University of Latvia and many hotels that are within walking distance or a quick trolley ride of Old Town's museums and historical sites.
