Good location, clean, but noisy.

Posted 22-Sep-2017
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. The room was pleasant.
Cons: We found out that at the beginning of September, university students congregate outside and party until early in the morning.
Location: Location overall is good, however, the tram goes by until about 11 pm, so it is noisy.
This hotel was fine overall. Clean, comfortable bed. Good location, walking distance to tourist areas.

A lovely townhouse hotel, centrally located, with large and comfortable rooms, traditional in style with a lovely bathroom. The only minor issue we found that as the hotel is located right in the centre of Dublin, it is surrounded by a number of bars and nightclubs, and there was a noticeable level of noise at kicking out time, with people shouting and cars beeping. The hotel did provide earplugs in the room, however, there no mention of this issue in any of the hotel descriptions that we saw.

An Easy Walk

Posted 19-Sep-2017
An easy walk to Old Town and city center. Hotel is south of Temple Bar on a very safe street. Breakfast included with stay was very good.

Loud nightclubs across the street that were open until 3am. We weren't looking for that type of thing.

AWESOME hotel in city centre

Posted 11-Sep-2017
Location: Stayed there for 6 nights at the top back floor. Hotel was SUPER close to everything which was a huge plus. Staff: Staff was lovely, super friendly and helpful when asking for directions and recommendations for places. Room: I read reviews about the noise complaint so I'm thankful we got a room where we did. And although we got a room in the back, we could still hear the music from the clubs half a block away. It wasn't SUPER loud, but we could hear It. It was okay though because the hotel provided ear plugs. Our room was nice and clean, but it would have been nice to be able to control the temperature in there because it was really hot in the day, but freezing (for me) in the morning. They provide extra blankets in case you need though. They don't have air conditioning, but they have ceiling fans. Overall, it was a great hotel with an older charm. Will DEFINITELY stay there again when I go next year.

Good Location but!

Posted 10-Sep-2017
Pros: Staff were very friendly and efficient. No complaints about the breakfast. Very clean within the room and hotel.
Cons: The hotel is tired looking and needs refurbishing. It also lacks any facilities within the lounge, no coffee/tea facilities or any bar providing drinks
Location: The location of the hotel is ideal, very close to St Stephen's Green, close to a variety of different shops and restaurants.
We were given room 37 on the 3rd floor. Small room, threadbare carpet, limited space to move around the room, small double bed, large deep wardrobe too big for the room. For the money you pay, I would have expected a better quality room, whilst it just about qualifys as a double room it's too small, faces the back of the hotel and has very little air circulation within the room. We wondered why there was ear plugs in the draw, as night time came the noise levels from the adjacent clubs with roof top gardens began to get louder and louder, with the external window shut, the secondary glazing window closed and the ear plugs does not stop the level of noise entering the hotel. When your sleep gets disturbed you never feel your best and after 3 nights I was glad to leave. Expedia sent me an initial email when I arrived to see if everything was ok, when I said no, they sent another email to say they were working on it and would get back to me to get things changed, but of course nothing happened. I will not be recommending anyone to stay at Harrington Hall and I have my doubts about using Expedia ever again.

So close to St. Stephen's Green and CBD of Dublin.

Posted 29-Aug-2017
Pros: Everything. So much so that this was our 3rd visit and we also brought a friend.
Cons: Enlarge it so more rooms could be available.
Location: Close to CBD and all attractions of the city as well as St.Stephen's Green for jogging and or relaxing. Lots of night life in this area.
Friendly staff on arrival let us leave bags and invited us to beautiful lounge area with chilled water supplied as well as WIFI, newspaper and plenty of brochures of local attractions and 'things to do'. Arranged tours at the desk that saved line up the attraction. Suggested places to eat, as well as other activities we might be interested in. Nothing was a bother to the desk staff. Breakfast as usual great.

Nice Hotel to Stay

Posted 27-Aug-2017
Friendly, comfortable, very central to cafes, restaurants, pubs and attractions. Only problem, if your room is facing the street it is extremely noisy from tram and night club across the road. Otherwise it is a lovely place to stay.

Cute Victorian comfortable stay!

Posted 23-Aug-2017
From check in to asking questions during our stay to check out it was a great experience! We had a great loft style room facing the back side of the building so there was minimal street noise and the bed was very comfy. Only down side was due to it being an older building the floors and stairwell creaked quite a bit but it was very lovely and we would return! Easy walk to the city center but just outside the crazy hustle and bustle, and very accessible to american drivers not on see to driving on the other side of the road to get to and park while staying in the city.
