"WE had to make an emergency stay at the last moment. Pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Tropis is. The grounds were beautful. The rooms were very nce and the Staff was extremely courteous. Speaking English to guide us through an already frustrating day. The price per night may be a bit on the high-end, but absolutely worth every penny!"

"I cannot say enough about this hotel and the family that owns it and operates it. It is truly a full family operation so it works like a well oiled machine. They are friendly. They speak English German Italian. They will accommodate you with whatever you need. The location is perfect getting to all of the surrounding areas the restaurant included with the hotel is wonderful great food everything is homemade and grown fresh and local. We cannot say enough about this hotel, and I will definitely be visiting again I highly recommend the boat cruise that they will offer you and we actually ate dinner in the hotel every night fresh local food. "In a18th century building nicely renovated with a gorgeous terrace with a breathtaking ocean view and within walking distance to historic district of Tropea. The only downside is no elevator but it's only one floor. "

"Beautiful location, great property but not easy to get to. Staff and services could sometimes be puzzling from excellent to almost non existent especially at breakfasts service. But, overall highly recommend. "

"3rd floor. No elevator. A/c was old . Cover was hanging off. Shower was small. Had a plastic mat , that was dirty. Had a hard tv with the tv. Receptionist said she was going to fix a/c & tv never did. Also asked to change room to lower floor. Her response was no, because we booked an economy room with Expedia. And we couldn’t lock door. We checked out a day earlier. 6 flights of stairs."

"The property itself is gorgeous. The only downsides are 1. food on resort is a bit of a miss (not enough simple, local dishes in favor of fancy over-the-top dishes ) although breakfast was lovely and 2 you have to have a car to get to Tropea as the resort is isolated and there is not much to do in terms of activities or entertainment. If the weather is nice, you are in for a treat because their beach staff is impeccable and their grounds are breathtaking."
