Perfect position for Sydney exploring

Posted 04-Oct-2017
Pros: POSITION!!!
Cons: Room size and cost of breakfast.
Location: Perfect position for Sydney sightseeing.
The hotel is in a fabulous position, being a short walk from Circular Quay, The Bridge, Opera House and Botanic Gardens. It was quiet though the rooms could be larger.

Great location

Posted 30-Sep-2017
Pros: The location, staff, cleanliness ... just about everything really!
We chose this hotel purely on it's location, we did not have long in Sydney so wanted to be right 'in it', we were not disappointed. The hotel was immaculate and the staff very keen to please (to the extent they insisted on carrying our heavy case upstairs!). The room was one of the nicest we have been in and had everything you could have wanted ... but we were not there to enjoy the room! The location ... what could be better then right in The Rocks?! Perfect for George Street, the Opera House and the bridge - more than enough to see and do.

A hotel with character and charm

Posted 16-Sep-2017
Pros: It was charming; it was unique; it was historic. We felt like the place where we were staying was special.
Cons: Soundproofing. It wasn't significant noise from outside, but it was enough to note.
Location: Great location in the Rocks! Lots of good restaurants. Very close to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Circular Quay, Bridgeclimb, the Opera House.
We had a very pleasant stay! Harbour Rocks Sydney is perfectly located--you're very close to Circular Quay and all that area has to offer, including public transportation to the airport. Convenient, historic neighborhood with a lot of charm. The hotel staff is welcoming and attentive to guest needs. The hotel common areas are excellent. Historic vibe with the feel of an old luxury ship or port building. You walk in to the lobby area which has comfortable seating, a library, and a full bar. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants of all sort--small breakfast and coffee/pastry places, a creperie next door, bars and pubs, and full fledged lunch and dinner restaurants. The hotel housekeeping did a fine job and the shampoos provided smelled wonderful. There was a daily charge of $10/day for Internet on up to three devices in the room, which was unusual in our experience staying in Sydney. We had stayed the week previously at another hotel in Sydney where Internet was free, and also at other Accor hotels we had stayed at in Auckland and Cairns. Our only other disturbances were inherent in what also made the hotel charming--as an older building, the room shape was more unusual, the noise levels outside were higher than usual. We were on the ground floor and heard a fair amount of noise from passing tour groups and a bit from restaurants/cars. It wasn't loud enough to keep us awake at night, but did start early in the morning. Overall, a fabulous stay and would stay again!

A cosy place to stay close to Vivid action!

Posted 06-Jun-2017 on Wotif
Pros: Most things.
Cons: Little to do. Maintain the ambience.
Location: Close to so many activities.
Friendly and helpful staff set the tone for a happy stay. Close to all the action but in walking distance! Very important after several walks along the foreshore. Within an historic building in an histroic precinct. Lots of interest. Discovering small laneways which only we knew about! Linking us to cafes and the harbour! Such fun! Especially when a very large ship suddenly appeared one afternoon. It felt as good as home. Looking forward to a return visit!

Beautiful hotel in The Rocks

Posted 02-Jun-2017
Pros: Location, atmosphere
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. We were only there one night and wished I was staying longer.
Location: Shops & restaurants, Contemporary Art Museum, Overseas Cruise Terminal, Circular Quay.
Great location to walk to restaurants or shop in The Rocks or Circular Quay. Hotel is a historic building so lots of character. Staff was helpful and courteous.
