There was no one to open the door they asked me to wait 10 minutes, I did then they asked me to wait 10 more minutes I had to go for dinner and come back, when I get back they let me in but there is no one to show you where the door is, there is a sign that send you to the second floor however is on the ground floor, then you kind of go to where you see a key hanging and that is your room, next day I left the key on the door as there was no one to check you out, is nice and clean but is hard to know what to do or where to go and they only spoke italian, I tried in spanish and thst is how I got the info about the ground floor

Fantastic location and perfect room. Modern and clean. So nice to have a kettle, refrigerator and TV. Just make sure you contact staff before arrival for the key because there is no staff onsite

Perfect to visit Cinque terre
We stayed 4 nights to visit Cinque Terre. 5 minutes walk to Terminus As Spieza Centrale. Coffee and groceries near by. Also just 5-10 minutes walk to downtown La Spieza. The host (Giovanna) was absolutely wonderful!! Don't miss Porto Venere while you are there! Note that check-in is before noon! Write the place to let them know when you'll arrive.

Close to railway station. Wanted to be contacted via What's App but I don't use What's App. Because of the time of year (heating switched off but not yet into summer heat), the room felt damp - washed some socks and they were still wet 3 days later.

A very quaint boutique hotel, Giovanna was very accommodating and lovely in her service and advice to us. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Everything was very clean in our room and the entry into the hotel was welcoming! It sits off the main road, so it was quiet. Very convenient to the train station. Tip- bring a hair dryer because the one provided is not easy to use or very functional.

We had a hard time finding it, but mostly because my phone had no service. It is very convenient to the train station, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Nice comfortable room.

Excellent!!!! I wanted to see sunset from Chinque Terre so I needed to stay at La Spezia. But this simple decision changed entire my trip by owner, Jovanna ❤️She take care the place very well and guide me the area, she suggested me the trip to Ponto Venere. (It was a beautiful!) thank you so much!! If I ever go back to La Spezia, I will stay at here again! Bed is big and comfortable, towels are all clean, big room (I stayed #1) nice shower, free coffee machine… all wonderful. If you are looking for five stars, It’s not for you but I have nothing to complain, just fit perfect for me ←I’m a super traveler all of the world. So trust me!!

Spacious room close to the train station
The hotel is close to the train station. The room was quite spacious by European standards, however the shower was very small. The hotel does not have a reception so you have to organise your check in time prior to arrival and potentially call when you do arrive. A coffee pod was provided each day for use in the coffee machine in the hall. One downside was that the bins in the room were not emptied for the three days of my stay, although other than this, the room was clean.

Description on website sets wrong expectations
We texted them about our arrival time but found only a locked door. When we called they said they would come in 20 minutes. Someone did come earlier. We had 2 rooms, one was okay in size, the other had no room to maneuver, you can’t walk from one side to other without stepping over the other person. Shower loses pressure (probably) when someone else in the building is flushing the toilet or showering. Shower stall too small for an average BMI person. Couldn’t turn around or bend without hitting something. The staff was friendly but some may not appreciate their nothing matters just go with it attitude. Being good-natured does not compensate for tardiness. I feel these issues should be disclosed at the website so one can adjust their expectations properly.

Perfect stay
Our stay at the Monterverdi Resort was above what we expected. Except from the fact that there is no front desk and that you have to contact the Resort (it was long before we got an answer) to make an appointment for our arrival, we really appreciated our stay. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It was situated next to the train station, which was perfect to get faster to Cinque Terre. Also, the person who welcomed us gave us some advices about the ways to get to Cinque Terre (train, boat, etc.), it was appreciated too.

Nice hotel close to the train station
Overall great hotel with friendly staff. If you need a clean place to stay close to the train station I recommend this hotel it has all the basic necessities you need. It was all we needed as we spent our days in Cinque and was perfect to get off the train and only have to walk five minutes to the hotel. The staff is very friendly but make sure you have a working phone to call them when you want to check in. It is a safe neighbourhood and perfect for visiting Cinque and close to La Spezia city centre. I would stay here again!

Decent hotel to stay at. Nothing fancy, but clean. Easy walk from the train station. Must call ahead to check-in. Would recommend staying in Cinque Terre if that's your final destination, not much in La spezia.

Dont go by the name.
Monteverde Resort is not like its name, it is in a back street by the station, the room (I was in), has hardly any natural light & you cannot see the sky even when the window is wide open. I feel the name is very deceptive. The owner was very unhelpful when I wanted to change my 3 nights to 1 night. If you want to go to Cinque Terre stay elsewhere, there were many available places in Monterossa for the same price & much nicer.

First time in La Spezia. Booked this room because of the price and closeness to the train station. The room was comfortable and clean but would have benefited from air conditioning. There is no reception so the proprietor needs to be informed of your time of arrival. Not far from all amenities. Would stop again.

Loved staying here, room was comfortable WiFi worked without any problems, really close to the main area of La Spezia and also walking distance to the train station if you felt like exploring. Staff were really helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Good stay after annoying check in
We had trouble getting in contact with anyone to come and let us in to the hotel. Being foreign tourists we don't have a working phone to call the number when we arrived. We had to walk around the corner to another hotel to use their wifi to make a Skype call...but then the owner of our hotel said she wouldn't come and let us in unless we were already outside the Monteverde hotel! Once we finally for checked in the room was big, air con worked well, had a fridge and TV. The bathroom could have been cleaner though.

Buena calidad precio y centrico
El alojamiento está cerca de la estación de tren y del centro. El personal muy amable. La habitación amplia, limpia y cómoda. Además te dan café, tostadas y nocilla y mermelada para un mini desayuno. La hora de entrada es limitada pero contactandoleses te facilitan instrucciones muy sencillas, lo único para el WhatsApp buscarlo en su web. El único pero sería que no hay posibilidad de dejar la maleta por no haber recepcion. Hay una consigna en la estación de tren.
