Lots of walking from the parked car to the room, so packing light for your stay here is a must. About 120 stairs on an uneven stone stairway to get to the office for room check in. This is important for anyone who has a walking disability of any kind or may be overweight, as you have to trek back to your car, with no assistance. Apart from this, the room overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is steps from a lovely harbor view. Food, shops and train transport close by, which would be the easiest way to arrive. Had only one night here, but glad to have experienced the uniqueness of this city.

the room at casa di venere was just perfect and exactly what we needed. located in the very heart of town, close to the train station, the supermarket, the beach...really great location! the room was spacious, very clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom, excellent shower, with a little fridge and an electric tea kettle (which made me very happy!). Roberto is the guy that you call when you get there to check in. he is on it!! you call him, and 10 or 15 minutes later he is there (and there is a beautiful terrace on the sea about 50 steps from the door, if you are the kind of person that minds to wait 10 minutes). plus... he is very friendly and kind, relaxed and reliable. the day we were leaving he stored our luggage for us while we went hiking, which was very helpful! definitely recommend it.

About 10 minutes walk from town, plus a free shuttle if you need it (eg to and from station).
Pool was one of the best I've seen; hotel has its own little bit of beach too.
Overall, would happily stay here again!
We were a little concerned about our booking after having stayed in other hotels in Monteosso. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to be greeted by an extremely efficient and happy staff member at reception. This was echoed by all staff throughout the hotel from room cleaners, waitresses, receptionists to top management. Rooms and bathrooms were a good size and the hotel was close to the beach and all amenities. It was an ideal place to come back after a day's touring and to have a nice relaxing drink in the outside courtyard overlooking the ocean.

I loved this hotel: the rooms are very spacious and confortable, the view of the ocean and the hills is incredible. The only negative(not about the hotel) is that the last bus from Manarola is at 7:40pm. If you lose the last bus you have two options: get a taxi for $20 euros or walk uphill(not a good choice since it can take you 1 to two hours hike at night - if you are in good shape - on a trail that is incredibly steep). I should add that 7:40 pm is when most Italian restaurants are just beginning to open for business. Breakfast in this hotel is very good.
An absolutely charming hotel with great rooms, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food.
The restaurant is set in the most beautiful part of the hotel and serves delicious food from an interesting menu.
The old town of San Miniato is a short drive away and, set on a hill, provides beautiful views over Tuscany.
A great place to stay and we will definitely recommend.
Comprised of five tiny villages perched atop the cliffs of northern Italy's Riviera, the Cinque Terre is renowned for its lush vineyards and stunning Mediterranean Sea views. Ancient footpaths are the best way to explore. Via dell'Amore, a 5-hour hike through all 5 towns, provides postcard-worthy panoramas. Unwind by sipping specialty wines in Manarola or sunbathing at a Corniglia beach.
