"The Volunteer Inn was a lovely place for a 2-night stay while in the area for a wedding. The room (twin beds for me and my daughter) was a good size, very clean and nicely decorated. It was well equipped with towels, tea tray etc. There was some noise from the public during opening hours but it didn’t bother us and should be expected. The breakfasts were fantastic and they have a good system for preordering the night before. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the check in/out process...

"We spent a 2 night stay at the property with our 2 year old toddler and 2 dogs in November 2023. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and we would recommend to others to visit. The property is warm and cosy and the pub has a lovely feel about it. The venue is very dog friendly and they’re allowed to stay in your room whilst you dine in the restaurant. We stayed in room 29 which is situated in the car park near the rear exit to the pub.
