Wonderful querky old (very old) hotel. No bar but drinks may be served in the residents lounge. Very comfortable beds in attractive rooms. Marvellous food served by attentive and very friendly staff
I loved this place It was a real experience being able to stay in such a historic building I am happy to see that is has been preserved with the upmost respect and care parking was tricky maybe something could be arranged with the Lacock national trust car park for overnight
Lovely restaurant with amazing food. The bedroom was certainly quaint, which was nice. However there was one issue which impacted my stay - the door! As the hotel is quaint the door does not fit the frame in many places, you can actually see clearly through from the corridor. There was a point just after I went to bed where I was certain people in the corridor were in my room! The hotel have put a curtain to pull over the door - however this is too far from the door so does not block the light from the corridor so it felt like the room was illuminated all night. If the hotel was in a dodgy area I would not have accepted the room as I wouldn’t have felt safe. If the door issue could be resolved then everything else was charming.
This was the best stay this visiting. Inn is over 530 years old with undeniable charm plus sparkling clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Mugs in room is handmade nice ceramics. Dinner was state of art! Breakfast had good coffee. Whole place is beautifully decorated with good taste. Really wonderful place!
