Nice modern hotel walking distance from historical center, restaurants and train station. Good breakfast for extra 15 pounds with choice of main dish and some buffet. Enjoyable swimming pool. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

Lovely hotel, but the pool was very cold and so not that relaxing. And the parking is so poor and expensive. More information about this would help. But the staff were lovely and incredible location.

I have stayed at the Apex before for work and had a lovely time but didn't know that it had a spa. I was so surprised by how amazing the spa was! I popped down for thirty minutes for a swim and ended up there for an hour and made sure to get up early the next day before check out to use it again! It's a great hotel with incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff, lovely breakfast, lovely bar and an incredible spa.

These were truly Five Star accommodations. The check in and check out processes were handled by very helpful and courteous team members. From the bed to the bathroom and very square inch in between the rooms were excellent and well maintained. The breakfast was superior and served by other very courteous team members. I plan to stay at other Apex Hotels when visiting the UK in the future.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was okay. While the hotel may have been considered good about ten years ago, it now appears tired and in need of renovation. Although the photos look promising, the reality inside is quite different. While the surfaces appeared clean at first glance, upon closer inspection, I noticed dust in the room and improperly cleaned mirrors. One major issue I encountered was the height of the beds, which made it difficult for me to sleep comfortably due to fear of falling off. This was surprising given that I am of average height (5ft7), and I can only imagine how uncomfortable it might be for taller individuals. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped improve the overall experience. However, I would rate the hotel as a 2-star establishment due to the cleanliness issues and discomfort with the sleeping arrangements. Additionally, I was disappointed by the visible dirt in the sauna and around the swimming pool area. Overall, while the hotel has potential, it requires significant improvements to meet modern standards of comfort and cleanliness.

All staff were incredibly helpful with recommendations for food and experiences. Our room was exactly what we needed and I particularly loved the soaking bathtub. Our full English breakfast at Orange Artichoke as a delight, setting the bar high for the rest of the breakfasts on our trip. We would highly recommend your hotel to any friends or family planning a visit.
