Absolutely fantastic!
Absolutely beautiful chateau in fabulous grounds with a multitude of walks. Lovely large swimming pool. Everything from staff to rooms to food was just wonderful. Amazing!

Live in your own Chateau!
The Chateau is gorgeous and located on a large, lush property. Thoroughly renovated and very clean. Great outdoor pool. In-house restaurant is very good, though our waiter pressured us to select a dessert when we ordered our mains, which is "very common in France." When we told him we have eaten many meals in France and never had that experience, he backed off. But it was unnecessarily confrontational and unpleasant. Otherwise the staff was good.

Chateau Rochecotte
The Chateau Rochecotte is a real 'find'. The rooms are wonderfully decorated with high celiings and tremendious space. Restaurant is wonderful and served the best meal we have had in France so far. Deserts were aweseom.

Lovely stay
Staff was amazing, very helpful and pleasant. Bar team was very nice - thank you for complimentary sweet treats :) It is lovely building and area. We were disappointed that 4 star hotel could not offer a la carte breakfast ( example: fried or pouched eggs, fried fresh bacon and etc.) for the price of 24 euros... or at least one vegetarian lunch/dinner meal. Also, property has no wall soundproofing - we could hear every word from next room.

Nice "Chateau de la loire" XP
After a brief misunderstanding regarding dinner (the restaurant was fully booked when I checked-in), dinner was served in my room and staff fixed this situation with much pleasure. I left a bad check-in rating because of that but in the end, the stay was nearly up to my expectations. This is a really nice place, with stunning countryside views and good staff service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the Chateau de la Loire Experience.

The property is absolutely stunning. The front desk has a little trouble with English. We had some trouble understanding each other.

A dream
Truly a dream to stay here. Grounds are out-of-this world. Service was the friendlies we experienced in all of France. Dining experience was in its own class. A must stay if you can make it work on your itinerary.

Wonderful - a gem in Chinon countryside
Cheese trolley. If you like cheese, then eating in the restaurant is a must - not only is all of the food fantastic - but the cheese trolley is incredible. The rooms are beautiful - individually decorated and tastefully furnished. Comfortable beds with clean linen, and amazing bathrooms. Thoroughly recommend and will be back!

Relaxation!
It was such a relaxing time in the Loire Valley! Situated on a hillside, there was an amazing view of the valley. The pool was also a relaxing place to hang out in the afternoon. It is more secluded, so you cannot walk to meals outside of the property, so plan ahead! We drove into Tours (~30 min drive) one night for something different and found some amazing places!

Beautiful hotel & grounds
Went here for our 25th anniversary & couldn't be more pleased. The staff went out of their way to accommodate every need & then some. Our room was lovely, the public rooms are wonderful, walking around the garden area & pathways was so peaceful. Champagne in the garden patio. It was all just perfect. I do hope we will be able to visit again.

Wonderful hotel! You feel like you’re staying at a private castle. Staff was incredibly hospitable and grounds were beautiful. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed and the restaurant is to die for. A bit pricy though worth the money. If we ever go back to this area, this is where we’d stay.

Tired Chateau
My friend and I both agree that the bathrooms in particular were very dated , not particularly clean and the beds need replacing . The reception staff were not at all helpful . The food was excellent,

Beautiful hotel
Delightful grounds, excellent, professional and friendly staff. The hotel is immaculately presented and in superb condition. The restaurant served Michelin quality food and should be tried if you stay here.

Happened to be there for Valentines Day. Wow, what an experience dinner was!

Beautiful grounds but NOT for elderly, disabled.
Stayed for a few days while visiting the region. Very nice, central location, about 10-15 minutes from Langeais and within easy driving distance of nearby chateaux, churches, etc. Staff was helpful but less warm than in other places we stayed. Hotel grounds are magnificent with beautiful views of the area, a wonderful terrace, an outstanding collection of trees (of many different kinds) and some nice walks around the property, though there are no hiking trails. Rooms are very nice with generally modern bathrooms, but the layout can be strange: in one room, the closet is in the bathroom! And the air conditioning works very well, which was a real asset as this was a hot August. BUT we all had allergic reactions to the hotel rooms of varying severity, from mild (nasal congestion) to reasonably strong (runny nose, itchy throat, stuffed up heads, sore throats, etc.). Maybe it was the cats; maybe it was dust trapped in the carpets or curtains, but it was noticeable. It got better during the course of each day (when we were away from the hotel) but worsened at night. It only really got better when we left. Also, one of the toilets was so close to the radiator that it was difficult to use -- and this was in summer, when the heat was off. There was so little space that an elderly or disabled person might have found it dangerous.

Lovely building, in need of refurbishment
We stayed here on our honeymoon while exploring the Loire for a week. The building itself is an old chateau, in pretty grounds and with a nice outdoor pool. The staff were very friendly. The hotel itself has however clearly not been refurbished for a while, and represented very poor value. Similarly, the restaurant was smart and food was very good, but it was overpriced.

Authentic elegance
The chateau was beautiful along with the grounds. Our room was large and had patio access to a lovely view. Even though parts of the hotel looked tired, the entire place was spotless.

Fabulous Chateau
We had a wonderful two day stay at Chateau Rochecotte. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The view from the window was beautiful. The staff were very kind and helpful. Loved having a light snack up on the terrace. Dinner was Devine and the breakfast was very good. I would recommend this Chateau if you are looking for a lovely place in the country to relax.

Beautiful chateau, great food
We stayed for the weekend on our way home from the south coast. Arrived late, but greeted with real friendliness. Took care to meet my additional requests, e-mailed through in advance. Didn't try the breakfast, as €21 per person price tag was too hefty for us. Chinon is relatively close by, with its fab castle, old town and restaurants/cafés. Dinner was excellent - a real treat. Wine selection (and cheese selection) unsurpassed by any other place we had eaten during our 3 week trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning worked. Views marvellous. Bathroom a little retro (not in a good way). Swimming pool was great - as was coffee on the terrace and walking in the gardens. Would definitely return if I were passing by again.
