This please is at convenient location and need park. The staff are very nice. There are many bird in this area. No need to set up alarm to wake you up. The Birds will wake you up in the morning! :D

Very close to Canyon de Chelly and our tour left right from the hotel parking lot. The restaurant was very convenient and food was good.

This is such a nice place to stay and quite reasonably priced. The rooms are very well appointed and laid out, with all the amenities and plenty of electrical/charging options. The only thing that would improve it would be some light curtains to provide privacy during the day, as the only option is to close the black out curtains if you wish to have privacy.

This place is in a very isolated area. The place itself is fine. It’s actually in pretty good condition. The staff varies. There were a couple of nice people. There were a couple of people who seemed like I was annoying them. There was a person later who was not helpful. When we were getting ready for bed, the power went off in the area. It was very cold outside, was very windy, and it started raining. It got colder and colder in the room. I called the front desk. The man did not know what happened, could not tell me the status of the power outage, did not know if there were any provisions for heat or and emergency services. Useless. We waited another hour in the dark and cold. My wife called the front desk. The same guy still had no update and no answers for how we were to deal with the. is freezing temperature in the room. We decided to leave. We got our stuff and left, drove 2 hours and found another motel. The next day I called the Thunderbird Lodge and told them we left the night before bevausec we were freezing. They the. charged me more money. No i’m not so happy with them.

Very special place to stay, especially if you're doing the Canyon Tour. Peaceful and very authentic Navajo. Gift shop, Cafeteria, and Housekeeping service staff (mostly women) were wonderful! And we highly recommend the Canyon Tour!

It looks like the rooms have been renovated recently. Because everything looks pretty new and very clean. Room was small, but adequate. A perfect spot to see the canyon and do one of the tours.

Great gift shop with Navajo sand paintings, rugs, jewelry, pottery, skeins of wool etc. Rooms are motel style and basic but clean. Close to South Rim of the canyon with spectacular views. We enjoyed fry bread for dinner and perfectly made blue corn pancakes for breakfast. We did not have time for a guided tour but the drive along the South Rim was totally worth it.

The place shows its age a bit but the room was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located near the entrance of Canyon de Chelly. The place had a restaurant that was okay, but nothing special.

Room #8 had a toilet that looked taped to the floor. The tub had a crack. The window curtain was falling off. The bathroom ceiling fan was encrusted with lint. It was just not a good place.

Close proximity to canyon de Chelly, Check in was easy. Has a rustic feel. Electricity went out at night and it was cold. Didn’t get any answers from the front desk which was supposed to be open 24/7.

Beautiful National Monument. It really is a hidden gem. The restaurant/cafeteria is another story. Our meals were not good at all. We were overcharged, the restaurant appeared dirty and unkempt and , food was not good and not what we expected and no one seemed to care even though it was brought to their attention. We along with several other patrons complained to no avail. We wound up at Denny's in Chinle. Accommodations were fine "historical" but cute and comfortable. I would away again for sure but skip the restaurant. Too bad as it would be a very cheap ncenient opetion.

The tub was very dirty, with hair all over it. Really glad we had flip flops with us... If it hadn't been for the tub, everything would have been great. The room was very nice, and everything else seemed clean.

Gave .e a room that smelled like sewer. I requested a new room and they qould not give me one. Would nkt give me a refund. I was only on yhe room for 30 minutes yhen i had to leave. It was unbearable. The smell. I did not stay the night.

Loved canyon de Chelly but the town of Chinle is not attractive with few culinary choices. We bought bagged salad and fruit at local market.

Off Season stay Jan 2024. Easily reserved a room at a great rate. Hi season will be much higher $. You are just inside the Canyon de Chelly NP boundary so the Lodge is in fact in the Park and its a few seconds to the Park road that takes you to all the viewpoints from the Canyon rims. Chinle - the nearest town is a few mins drive and has a supermarket, Dennys, and gas stations. There is an extensive gift shop and food at the Lodge But Note that the lodge cafeteria is EXTREMELY OVER PRICED especially for what the menu is- very simple food.

Was so tired from work that I forgot my key in the room haha but maintenance man was so helpful to open the door for me and made sure I got into my room safely. The room is so clean and bed is so comfortable after a long day of work hah.
