"The Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste provided an overall excellent experience. The check in was extremelly fast. They stored our luggage for us to have lunch while waiting for our check in time. Staff was extremelly friendly and helpful. They recommended excellent places to visit within walking distance as well as dining that was superb. Great location. We felt safe walking at night. Good location within a few minutes walk of four restaurants and a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop. Takes approx 1 hr to get to centre of trieste on the bus or 30 mins on the ferry. Only small down point was the reception bar never seemed to be open"
