The Chiesa del Gesù e dei Santi Ambrogio e Andrea contains a fantastic array of acclaimed paintings. Dating back to the 6th century, this is one of the oldest churches in Genoa. It was reconstructed in the late 16th century with a Baroque style, while the façade was rebuilt in 1894\. Examine the iconic works by Peter Paul Rubens among the many other pieces that adorn the walls. Snap photos of the imposing façade, with green portals and several sculptures spread across two levels. Notice the turrets and spires rising up behind the frontage. Admire the utter opulence of the lavish interior, decorated by abundant marble, sculptures and paintings.
