Staff helpful and professional, changed room with no fuss, good breakfast, car parking, easy to reach city centre, good room, clean bedding with comfy mattress. There was a shortage of towels for our room and there is no fridge ( doesn't have to be well stocked but good to have to keep drinks etc. cool ) TV and central heating all ok. Quiet and clean.

This is the fourth time I have stayed here, and have no complaints about the cleanliness, service and facilities. The staff have always been welcoming and the rooms comfortable. The food is very good and breakfast is to die for. The range of real ales and other wines and spirits is excellent. I fully recommend this place for a short stay or stopover.
Reasonably priced, right in the centre of town, nice bar serving fine Ales and an even nicer restaurant area with a good menu. Rooms are fine but some a little tired maybe. Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt at home here. The only real problem was that there is no parking and i an old town this can be a common feature. I had to park in the long stay car park which costs.
We chose the Bulls Head because of the good rating and it is only about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Chichester. We were staying just for one night and it was very convenient for the Chichester Festival Theatre. The accommodation is in a converted barn at the back of the pub. It was very quiet and convenient for a drink, plus the room had everything that we needed. We would have loved to have booked an evening meal at the pub but unfortunately they did not start serving until 6:00 pm and our performance at the Theatre started at 7:00. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and very personal, not like when you stay in a large hotel.
A nice surprise this lovely pub/hotel! Staff really friendly, yummy breakfast. We had an upstairs room. Very quiet. Only gripe is checkout is 10:30am which is a tiny bit early if you've been out on the town the night before.
Lovely hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Great food in the restaurant. Nice seating areas to relax in the bar. Great breakfast
Only negative was the bed was too hard for me but appreciate that is my individual preference and not a criticism of the hotel.

We had a special family event and decided to combine it with a relaxing tour of the area. Weather was poor for half of the stay but overall the break was good. 'The Fox' was in quiet village location, plenty of character, with good accommodation, excellent staff and 'above average' menu. Breakfasts were individually prepared and most enjoyable.,
Local area was beautiful with Chichester, Arundel, Petworth and the coast all accessible.
Chichester is set about 12 km from the sea, and 65 km from London. Although steeped in Roman and Anglo-Saxon history (an 11th century Gothic cathedral is near the city centre), today the town caters to tourists and offers a robust arts scene. In addition to an annual arts festival, Chichester offers a selection of theatres, galleries, and a symphony orchestra.
