The Rubbing House, Goodwood

Cottage with patio, near Goodwood Racecourse
A magnificent country house in Goodwood, with stunning far-reaching views south reaching from Worthing in West Sussex to the Isle of Wight and Hampshire. A truly unique luxury holiday home for responsible groups and extended families.

The main house features a Reception Hall with a grand staircase and woodburning stove, a large Drawing Room, and a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room which opens into the adjacent dining room with extending table, a large TV rising from a built-in cabinet.

Upstairs, the first floor offers a Master Bedroom with super king zip-link bed and panoramic views south, and a large en-suite with bath and separate shower. Bedroom Two with a double bed also has the same great views, along with an en-suite bath with shower over. Bedroom Three is a super king and leads into Bedroom Five, a huge semi-circular room with twin beds – an ideal layout for families. Bedroom Four is a king size, and between Bedroom Four and Five there is a shared family bathroom with shower over bath. The main house sleeps ten.

Next door to the house is a one-bed detached cottage with kitchen, sitting room, and bedroom with super king zip-link bed leading into the en-suite walk-in shower room. A day bed with additional pull-out in the sitting room forms a king size bed when pushed together, increasing capacity to four in the cottage.

Outside, an outbuilding houses a games room with table tennis and darts. The abundant gardens and grounds include a woodland nature trail, while the main south-facing lawn looks out over the same long range views of Chichester and the coast.

There are abundant walks across the South Down on your doorstep, and just up the road you will also find the Goodwood Estate, famous for its Festival of Speed, Revival, Motor Circuit and Racecourse. Chichester is just a five mile drive, and you can reach the coast within half an hour.
Rooms open to patios. Bathrooms include a combined bath/shower unit.
