I was travelling solo, felt extremely safe at the Royal Sonesta. Very well connected for any tours/restaurants/bars, all mostly in walking distance. Was not happy with my room initially and the front desk upgraded me at no extra charge. Amazing hospitality, would definitely stay here again!

The property was bright and airy, spacious, and lovely. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was ideal for exploring the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return there on our next visit to Chicago. Highly recommend!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We loved how the hotel was within walking distance of everything. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were amazing. Everything was perfect, will definitely come back

Not a fan of the pillows, but that is just personal preference. My only complaint is the room we were given was right next to the elevators for that floor so it was a bit noisy in the mornings and woke me up every morning.

The front desk employee LJ was nothing short of exceptional! I came to this hotel after staying one night at another with concerns and she gave me nothing less than 5 star level service. I stayed in room 2901, LJ allowed me and my family to check in early and our housekeeping attendant BABY was one of a kind! I hate i didn't get her name but her personality was inviting, her customer service was 5 start and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing less than rememberable. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I'm excited to say I'll be revisiting this hotel soon! Thanks again for showing us top level hospitality it truly made our vacation even more magical!

This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean. Almost everyone we encountered on staff was pleasant. The gym equipment was way more than I expected. My room was clean and spacious. The location can’t be beat; so close to everything! I definitely recommend staying here.

I was attending a conference and stayed here for 2 days. The room was very clean, comfortable and had all the was needed. It’s also very walkable to most points of interest downtown. Would stay here again!

Convenient to a lot of things and hotel felt very nice (well-decorated, etc). We were placed right across from the elevator (which I don’t understand a hotel having any rooms that close) and it was awful. There were people being loud and smoking weed, going up and down in the elevator from our floor and it was as if they were in our room - it was so loud. We didn’t sleep at all. We had to put a towel over the door crack to try and keep the marijuana smell from continuing to come into our room. Certainly ensured I’d never stay in a room near the elevator again, in any hotel (but most that I’ve stayed in don’t have rooms directly next to and across from the elevators - terrible design). Also the shower head is a rain shower head only - not good at all for people who don’t want their hair getting wet every shower. Overall, the hotel was nice but we personally wouldn’t stay here again.

If you are wanting to self-park good luck. They won’t tell you where the parking lot is at because they want you to pay for valet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Go somewhere else for breakfast, there are please of places near by! the food available at the property is not good and overpriced!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was centrally located, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our suite was very nicely decorated, spacious and had an excellent view. The staff came promptly when we called to ask for bedding for the sofa bed, more towels, etc. The only complaint was two of the extra sheets we requested for the sofa bed had stains on them and we could clearly hear our neighbors in the hallway. Overall, we would stay here again. We reserved our suite through Expedia and felt it was reasonably priced.

Our room was spacious, with a sleeper couch sitting area. Large bathroom with a major design flaw - the shower is too close to the toilet, need to awkwardly open it and water goes all over the floor. Just a dumb design. But everything was clean and new and it's a pleasant hotel, close to the train.
