Historic Hotel

Posted 03-May-2016
Pros: location
Location: Just off Michigan Ave. The Windsor Restaurant & Bar in the Hampton Inn at the corner is a great quick place for food and drinks.
B/C this is a historic hotel the rooms are much smaller- but we didn't go to Chicago to spend time in our room! Good location with shopping, restaurants and bars nearby. In house bar has a nice ambiance. Staff were welcoming and helpful. This is not an upscale hotel and did not quite meet the 4 star rating, but a nice place to stay. Valet is on the ground level and registration on Level 2 along with the bar and restaurant. Elevators are small (again - historic hotel) and patience is needed as they are sometimes slow in coming.

Well worth staying here.

Pros: Clean, well presented hotel in an ideal location, with polite friendly helpful staff.
Cons: Replace the sink.
Location: Ideal for shopping on The Mile, and only a few blocks from the Lake and Navy Pier.
I was on a return trip to the UK and had pre booked two rooms at The Warwick. Location, well we'd never been to Chicago so this was a great location on the Magnificent Mile at the junction of N Michigan & E Huron which is a few blocks from Lake Michigan in one direction, and ideal for The Navy Pier, and six or seven from the river. On arrival we were politely greeted at the entrance and a pleasing foyer, and directed to the first floor reception, where (I believe Russell) the staff member introduced himself and dealt with all the necessary paperwork and hotel introduction. Also located here is a bar with comfortable seating. Our rooms were 712/713 and located between the sets of lifts/elevators, I have to say neither myself or daughter had any problems with noise from them, unlike some other reviewers and don't overload them or you'll stay put at that spot and the doors will stay open. A well presented and clean room with large bed, a desk with chair, wall mounted flat screen TV and a seat. The bathroom with large walk-in shower, a wc and basin also provided was a hair dryer was also clean and well presented with sufficient cleaning items should you need them. The only negative, which I reported was the crack in the basin, not caused by me, and which didn't leak. We didn't eat at the Warwick so I'm unable to comment, but we had a drink and the staff were pleasant and polite.

Older style hotel in the city centre.

Posted 01-May-2016
Pros: Position, cleanliness.
Cons: Elevators could be repaired. Noise in the room attended to.
Efficient check in and bell hop. Nice room, clean and good size. Unfortunately the ac /heater vent in the ceiling was constantly noisy. Also the elevator was not working properly and failed to stop on our floor most of the time. Hotel is well placed for most attractions in the city.

Great hotel, clean rooms, amazing staff

Posted 01-May-2016
Unfortunate circumstances left us in a rush to find a hotel in downtown Chicago for two nights. We discovered a deal for the Allerton on Expedia and decided to book. Upon arrival, the overnight manager at reception could tell we weren't having the best night and accommodated us with an available upgrade to ensure a pleasant stay. We were surprised and grateful for this and were shocked when we saw how wonderful the room was!! It really turned our less-than-ideal week around for the better. The staff was fantastic, the hotel and room itself were incredible, and we now can't imagine ever staying anywhere else. We so enjoyed our stay at the Warwick Allerton hotel and will definitely recommend it to family, friends, or whoever else should ask. Thanks again!

Pros: it is just in the magnificent mile
Cons: hot water, working room temperature, covers
Location: Magnicicient mile, all the shopping stores
I get to my room after a hard day of traveling and shower water was cold at nights so it was my bedroom. I rise the temperature it never worked and not covers...
