Although we only had a one night stay, you could tell the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring a lot of what downtown Chicago and the Mag Mile has to offer. The room was not large but it was pefectly set up to make the most of the space to assure a comfortable stay.

ミシガンアベニューに近いので、ショッピングには最適。 ホテルの客室はコンパクトにまとめられていて、不自由さは全くなかったです。 1階になバーとレストランもあり、外出から帰ってきた後のもう一杯もいただけます。

I felt perfectly safe in The James Chicago Hotel.

The staff was great and fun to talk to. My room was so comfortable and warm!! The bed was so comfy I could have stayed there watching the snow fall all day!! The price was very reasonable and I would not hesitate to go there over and over again!!!

In center of town. Walking distance to everything.

Pros: Kind and attentive staff.
Cons: Cleanliness in elevator and hallway could be improved.
Location: Very good location if you want to walk around, shop, dine. Michigan Avenue is a block or two away. Very convenient.
Pleasant and helpful staff. The cleanliness of the elevator and hallways could be better. The hallways are darker than necessary. The rooms are not well noise insulated from the outside. I was on the 3rd floor and was awakened around 5:30am by a incessant and loud noise of a truck outside cleaning the grease traps. It lasted about an hour and the stench was hideous. I understand that is a necessary maintenance but I question why it had to be done that early, and why there wasn't better communication with guests. It was disruptive in noise and smell. Staff were very understanding and offered free breakfast. I'd much rather have had my uninterrupted sleep. I lost a night. Also, there was a constant sound of water running... like a toilet tank not quite filling up. I was unable to determine where that sound was coming from.

Modern and clean hotel at magnificent mile

Unfortunately I had one of the not so nice and darker rooms to the court yard. The room showed a few signs of use, but was clean and comfortable. The staff is really nice and the hotel is very close to the magnificent mile.

Pros: Location and friendliness of staff.
Cons: Replace worn furniture
Location: One block from Michigan ave. Trader Joe across the street is a real plus. PIzza Due (less than a block) has best deep dish pizza !!!!
Perfect location for a short visit with my son. Hotel allowed me an early checkin which I really appreciated. Staff very friendly and welcoming. My room seemed a bit "tired". The bathroom could have been cleaner and one of the leather chairs needed replacement--looked like it had been chewed on at some point. Bathroom cube seat needs to be replaced. Bedding was very comfortable.

Overpriced, good location for magnificent mile.

Overpriced, especially the restaurant and breakfast. Good location for magnificent mile and some local restaurants but a bit of a walk to the loop. Baseboard heaters in the room were too hot and couldn't be turned off, so we had to put the air con on to counteract, crazy.

Great location, one block from Cartier!

Pros: Convenience of the location and the efficiency and friendliness of the staff.
Location: Great location
We checked in, walked around shopping on Black Friday which was controlled madness, and came back ready for snack and wine. We went to David Berke's which is connected to hotel lobby, had delicious snack and wine. Stupid me, I forgot to write the room number on the check and the waiter had to chase me down in the middle of the street. He was quite understanding.
