Not what I expected

The rooms were not nice, no complimentary coffee, the hallways were dark and scary and their was no parking. It was not able upscale jotel.

Great boutique Chicago hotel.

Location: Good location. Great restaurant attached
Spent 2 days this weekend. Front desk,concierge and doorman were outstanding. As good as any luxury hotel I've ever been to. Room was excellent, quiet, comfortable. Only criticism was bathroom sink. No room to put anything and shallow. Overall great experience.

Chi town shopping hotel

Almost missed the "main desk"! Tucked away but responsive staff. Valet available and parking a block away but be prepared to pay 40-60$/ day just for parking. the rooms were tidy and had a comfy bed. There were soaps, shampoos etc in the low flow shower, ample towels that room service were happy to change (even at midnight). Room service was apparently available but late night dining a challenge. The rooms, elevators etc were tight however; I enjoyed my quiet stay.

Great location, OK staff

The location is great and the room was very clean and comfortable. However, I have issues with the staffs. When I went to check in, the front desk lady was not too friendly and when I told her I'm an Expedia VIP gold member, she informed she couldn't upgrade me because I was already checked in, even though I saw on my phone that other rooms are available. I called Expedia customer service and was able to get a $25 voucher to the hotel restaurant. I went to the restaurant the next day for brunch and gave the waiter the voucher and was told that $25 will be taken off my bill once I check out of the hotel. When I went to check out, I saw this was not taken off and the front desk lady claimed I never gave the waiter a voucher. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, she blamed me. It took another 5 minutes to sort out the issue and I was able to finally get this taken off, but overall I was not happy with my interaction with the front desk staffs because there was no appreciation for picking their hotel and I do not believe they should be a VIP hotel if they do not willingly provide any benefits to VIP members.

Great hotel at a reasonable price

Our hotel experience was just delightful. The staff was friendly and there was delicious hot apple cider at the front desk when we checked in. The room was clean and comfortable and they offer top notch organic shampoo, conditioner and body care. The shower was glorious. We'd stay again for the shower alone! All in all we had a great experience and would return for another night out in the city and would recommend it to travelers visiting Chicago!

Close to shopping and Restaurants/Lake Michigan

Pros: I like that the hotel is located in the heart of shopping and eating establishments. in a word convenience.
Cons: more healthy items stocked in the room to choose from.
Location: Convenient to shopping and restaurants and other sights, riverwalk and Lake Michigan.
I was able to checkin early without additional charges and checkout isn't until 2pm so I did not have to request a late checkout. The room was clean and the workout facility was like being at the gym with all the equipment to stay on task with my workout. I was expecting a workout facility that was much smaller with miminum weights and machines.

close to downtown

Room was very comfortable. Great for a quick weekend in and out. Door staff was amazing and most helpful. Great service provided at all hours out front. Private car service was a great touch and we were able to utilize that service during our stay.
