Convenient Location

Pros: Fantastic location in between State and Michigan. Perfect for the ladies who like to shop til ya drop!
Cons: The rooms were nice, but I noticed that they had some cosmetic flaws. For a 4 or 5 star hotel I expect there to be little to no "repairs" needed.
Location: Driehaus Museum is a must. True Food Kitchen rocks!
Comfortable hotel conveniently located in the heart of the shopping. The rooms were clean, modern, and moderately roomy; however, I found they had some cosmetic flaws that could be "cleaned up." For a 4-star property I would not expect to see this. Overall, given the price point and location, I would recommend the hotel and probably stay here again.

Pros: Staff was very solicitous. Woman who cleaned my room asked as I checked out if I had remembered my cell phone and charger.
Cons: Lobby is too cramped, not well designed.
Appreciated the late checkout time (2pm) but the room was noisy: sirens woke me twice.

Nice hotel in a very good location

Cons: Nothing notable to improve.
I had never stayed in a James Hotel before and was very pleased. We picked it because of the location and because it was rated as a nice hotel. It more than met my expectations.

Nice modern hotel close to the magnificent mile

The James hotel is a nice modern clean hotel with friendly staff, all the facilities you need in great condition. The location is close to the magnificent mile but not where all the crowds are. The fitness center is big and has a lot of equipment, the bar is nice and a good place to have a drink and the business center is easy to get to and use. Highly recommend.

We got upgrade to rooftop suites and it was probablythe best hotel I have ever stayed

Amazing hotel! I totally relaxed there. Nice room, clean bed and friendly reception stuffs! I'll recommend this hotel to my all friends. 日本人も過ごしやすいと思います。

staffs are nice and professional. rooms looks a bit simpler than the lobby but l i like the tablets in the room.
