Pros: The staff was absolutely perfect! From check in to check out, the staff were engaging, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms were too small. There wasn't even room in the closet for the hangers to hang straight.
Location: Great location.

Great location and wonderful charm!

Posted 05-Oct-2016
Pros: The hotel was a great value, as it allowed us to stay downtown, just minutes away from countless sights and sounds.
Location: Millennium Park is just a ten minute walk, with the Magnificent Mile and numerous theaters and restaurants all within walking distance as well.
My wife and I were in Chicago just for the night to see Sigur Ros perform at the Chicago Theatre. With overnight parking prices being what they are, we had no desire to park downtown, but wanted to be close to the theatre. We found this hotel via Expedia, and hopped on the South Shore Train to save us on some gas / parking. Upon arrival to the hotel, the front of house staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, and even laughed at my stale jokes. (I blame the gray, rainy weather and the fact that I had quality, craft beer confiscated on the train.) Our room was exactly what we needed, as it featured modern amenities mixed with timeless charm. The bathroom was a particular highlight, as the fixtures were incredibly stylish, not to mention that we appreciated the quality of complementary hygiene products. The linens were soft, plentiful, and allowed us to recover after an incredible show. We also admired the vintage mail slots located next to the elevator entrances. All in all, this room provided incredible value, and we will most certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

Nice Gatsby vibe but small rm with lots of noise

Posted 02-Oct-2016
Loved the Gatsby vibe but avoid floor 5 our room was right across the gym. Talk about noise level that both my company and I had the worst time trying to sleep.

Love the theme and staff

20's theme is very cool and nice that it is felt throughout hotel. Staff is very friendly and complimentary coffee/tea and happy hour is a great touch. The room was very clean but had a few Knicks here and there in the paint. Bed was super comfortable. No train noise noticed!

Our room was beautiful and had a super comfy bed! It was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, and theatres! The 312 restaurant was superb!

Way too expensive for what you get

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: Quaint, clean, nice staff
Cons: Consider offering room service
Location: In the heart of downtown Chicago
Spent a lot of money for one night in the tiniest hotel room I've ever seen. It was clean and well-furnished, just extremely small. It took all my strength to pull open the closet door, just to find the tiny space crammed with stuff. And the clothes rack was about 3' off the ground so, if you needed to hang dresses or slacks, they'd drag the floor. Definitely would not stay here again.
