Good location in Chicago

Posted 23-Jan-2016
Pros: Location, decor, cleanliness
Location: The Picasso statue is near, Art Institute is within walking distance, Winterberry at 130 E Randolp was great place for breakfast.
Hotel Allegro has a great location; walking distance to Michigan and near river and Art Institute. Decor is striking with fireplace in lobby and many areas for relaxing and chatting with family and friends.

The only choice for convenience when seeing a play

Posted 18-Jan-2016
Pros: Everything! Room temperature and bedding were most impressive.
Cons: Have in-room coffee makers.
Location: We ate lunch at the Randolph Tavern, which was right across the street. Saw The Lion King at night, right next door. All so convenient!
We saw Lion King right next door at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. You can't ask for more - literally steps away from the doors for the theatre. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious for breakfast. The temperature controls for the room and bedding were most impressive. Our only cons were: (1) would have liked an in-room coffee maker; and (2) being on the top floor (room 1919) we heard a lot of thumping noises, probably from the elevator. Very happy with our choice - would definitely stay at this hotel again, only on a lower floor.

Nice style and design. Feels very expensive.

Nice room, wonderful bed, great views of the city. Was next to the L so there was some noise, but did not bother me because I turned the fan on high and slept like a baby.

Cozy hotel, great location

Posted 15-Jan-2016
Took the train to the city for the night to see the Lion King and stayed at the Hotel Allegro. Arrived early and was checked in quickly and efficiently by a friendly staff member. Our room was perfect size for our small family, beds were very cozy, room was clean and our daughter enjoyed the city view. Happy Hour reception at night and coffee in the morning was a wonderful bonus! Lots of eating options within walking distance. Loved everything about our stay here, can't wait to go back!

Pros: Location was great and loved the Art Deco decor. Gym was much better than an average hotel gym.
Cons: Only a desk chair to sit on in the room. The several weddings that over take the lobby make it difficult for guests to enjoy being down there.
Location: Great access to the L, Metra or a cab. Easily accessible to museums, Michigan Ave and other neighborhoods. Right by many Theatres as well.
The hotel is beautiful, clean and well kept. Staff was polite and professional. We were there for an extended New Year's, 4 nights. Does get very busy on the weekend with weddings so the beautiful lobby gets taken over. The location is great for getting around the city. Easy for trains, cabs or just a walk. Loved the coffee bar in the morning in the lobby and the gym is great too. Seemed to be dog friendly as well. Will absolutely be back again.

Excellent location to theatre.

Posted 24-Dec-2015
Pros: Location, Comfort, excellent staff.
Cons: WiFi
Location: Theatre is right next store, Starbucks entry. Restaurants nearby. Easy access into city and out.
WiFi was too slow. This is all I have to say. I don't like the fact that this survey wants me to add more things in this category before it will let me submit.
