Average hotel in heart of city

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Only complaint was bank of elevators went down and it took more than 24 hours to get them repaired. Made for long waits with only 2 working elevators

Historic Chicago Hotel

Posted 24-Feb-2017
Pros: We loved the views and greatly appreciated the large bathroom, with a large tub.
Cons: Because the hotel is a little older, I noticed some wear in the room that could use repair, but nothing that affected our comfort.
Location: The location is amazing! Easy walking distance to most everything, especially Millennium Park and Michigan Avenue.
The Hard Rock was surprisingly historic, which means is it old, but we enjoy the charm of a historic hotel, provided that it is well maintained and clean. The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago was just that! The staff were friendly, check-in and out was prompt and simple, the room was clean, and the hotel offers excellent views of downtown. The location is amazing for exploring most everything downtown, especially it's proximity to Millennium Park and the Museums.

Pros: Great Location
Cons: WiFi
Location: Very close to train locations, theatre district, and Michigan Ave.
My son and I had a great stay at the hotel. It was fun to see the hotel decorated with music icons.

Great for nursing mothers!!

Posted 22-Feb-2017
This was my first time away from my little one and as a nursing mother this hotel was very accomadating to my needs. When I first arrived I needed to nurse and the staff provided me with a private comfortable room. As a first time mom I had made the mistake of only bringing my Manuel pump but thank goodness I had done my research on this hotel and took advantage of the nursing program which provides an electric pump, storage bags, bottles.

The manager at the restaurants Rachel was awesome. The front desk staff could have been friendlier. Great location.

Great Spot Rowdy Guests

Posted 15-Feb-2017
Pros: Location and rate.
Cons: The decorum of some of their guests.
Location: Right on Michigan avenue and easy access to the river walk as well as several great restaurants and pubs.
The location and condition of the hotel were terrific. The staff was very good at check-in accommodating a last minute change to my departure. The rate was very good for the location and the quality of the hotel. The room was decently updated and clean. The problem began at 2:00 am with two couples who came onto the floor and continued to be rowdy and rude to each other and to other guests until 6:00 am. I can't recommend this hotel to business travelers. Clearly the hotel brand attracts the party crowd and the staff did not put an end to it. Unfortunate.
