Nice hotel room was uncomfortably warm.

Everything was nice. Except the room was uncomfortably warm. And I couldn't get it to cool down.

Great hotel, close to everything

Posted 28-Apr-2016
I loved this hotel and how close it was to everything. The Bean (Cloud Gate) is only a short 10 minute walk with multiple coffee shops on the way. The Art Institute is only a few minutes further than that. Highly recommend if you want to do Chicago from a tourist perspective.

Perfect place to stay close to everything

Posted 27-Apr-2016
We had an issue with our room but management bumped us up to a nicer room with an amazing view. We had a great time and I thank the staff for making our vacation amazing. Food is excellent! Located well within walking distance to many points of interest. At the end of the day you can't find a more comfortable bed.

Pros: The upbeat music
Cons: Lighting in the room was very poor.
Great place. The one thing I would recommend is that the rooms have more lighting. The staff at the bar (NOT at Mr. Browns) were very unfriendly. We had 1 drink and left.

35th floor

Posted 25-Apr-2016
We were upgraded to one of the 2 rooms on the 35th floor with $40 extra per night. I would expect a nice decor when coming out of the elevator on the 35th floor. Quite an opposite! It has a very small landing area with utility rooms along with the other room. Nothing else. It doesn't make me feel any special to stay on this exclusive floor with 2 rooms only. In facts its a little bit creepy to me as there is no decor in the landing and short corridor and there is not enough lighting. The room is very spacious with spectacular view of N Michigan ave at night. However, the furniture is rather dated and cheap. The mattress is soft, not a 4 stars hotel quality mattress at all! The lobby is quite small. After 11pm the revolving door on the N Michigan ave is closed, however we were not notified by the staff at check in. No big deal, we just had to go around and use the other door. But I would expect that info from the staff upon checking in. Overall, it's a great experience EXCEPT I will not call it a 4 stars hotel at all. I usually stay at 4 stars hotel for vacation, but this hotel is 3 stars top.

A fun stay.

Pros: The location
The property is a bit dated but only because they get a lot of traffic. Great location, the staff was great and it was everything you could want. Loved the 2 telecasters in the lobby. The front desk hooked me up with the most amazing pizza place you could imagine! I'd definitely stay there again.
