We were upgraded to one of the 2 rooms on the 35th floor with $40 extra per night. I would expect a nice decor when coming out of the elevator on the 35th floor. Quite an opposite! It has a very small landing area with utility rooms along with the other room. Nothing else. It doesn't make me feel any special to stay on this exclusive floor with 2 rooms only. In facts its a little bit creepy to me as there is no decor in the landing and short corridor and there is not enough lighting. The room is very spacious with spectacular view of N Michigan ave at night. However, the furniture is rather dated and cheap. The mattress is soft, not a 4 stars hotel quality mattress at all! The lobby is quite small. After 11pm the revolving door on the N Michigan ave is closed, however we were not notified by the staff at check in. No big deal, we just had to go around and use the other door. But I would expect that info from the staff upon checking in. Overall, it's a great experience EXCEPT I will not call it a 4 stars hotel at all. I usually stay at 4 stars hotel for vacation, but this hotel is 3 stars top.
