Great Location for a 1 day Stay!

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: Great Location
Cons: Seating space during the complimentary happy hour and morning breakfast.
Location: Centrally Located, visit the Ledge, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, Best Pizza,
First I must say Dinah at check in was the nicest most accommodating young lady we have encountered in a very long time. This hotel is centrally located within walking distance from the Navy Pier, and the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) and of course on the Magnificent Mile. there is a Whole Foods directly across the street, that was nice to gab some snacks or drinks for your room. During our stay, there were a lot of children and families, so during peak hours it was a little crazy. We missed the Happy Hour, because we were out and about. We did take advantage of the complimentary full breakfast to order. You must be patient with this, it was non-stop and difficult to find a seat due to the number of guest staying at the hotel. The food was good and plentiful, the atmosphere, was very crowed and noisy. We are pretty easy going, so overall it was a great stay! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Chicago for a couple days. We only had 1, but intend to go back.

Nice hotel in a great location

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Cons: Beds are a little softer than we would prefer. Check-in was a little confusing- there wasn't much parking and very congested.
Location: Magnificent Mile and Navy Pier are very close walks away.
This was a wonderful last minute trip. The hotel was perfectly located and they have a self park option which a lot of hotels do not for $36 per day compared to valet that is over $60 per day. Walking to Michigan Avenue and restaurants was really convenient. There was a whole foods across the street that was wonderful and convenient. Having a free breakfast was very nice.

Nice hotel with pool and free breakfast!

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Pros: Friendly staff, good food, and well maintained pool area.
Cons: Front desk staff were VERY friendly when you see them downstairs. But no one ever answered the phone when calling from the room phone.
Location: Walking distance to great restaurants, theater, bowling, and Navy Pier, among many things. Target & many banks also close. Very central!
I picked this hotel because of the price and indoor pool. The free breakfast was a plus--it was a cooked to order and had plenty of sides from fruit to bagels, donuts, etc. It was very good quality, and the service was even better. Everyone from front desk to restaurant staff were very friendly. The room was very clean, and the bed and sheets were very comfortable. The bad parts were minimal. My calls from the room to the front desk were never answered. I attempted 4 times at various hours. There was no bottled water or extra amenities in the room (not even the kind you can pay extra for). Overall, a very good, economical stay, and I would certainly come again.

Convenient location, awesome staff

Posted 01-Feb-2016
Pros: Staff; location; breakfast buffet.
Cons: I'm not familiar with rates in downtown Chicago, but I felt valet parking could have been less of a mark up over self-park.
Location: Great location - historic & modern sights, shopping, fabulous eateries, all within walking distance.
Right on the Magnificent Mile and within easy walking distance of Millenial Park - even on a pretty chilly, windy, Jan day. Valet asked us before we went up to check-in if we knew that there were two ES's in the area, and if we were at the right one, which I thought was very considerate. Staff was cheerful and friendly throughout. The free breakfast buffet was the best we can ever recall having.

Had a better experience

Posted 26-Jan-2016
Pros: Free drinks and snacks in the evening for a few hours.
Cons: Make sure to know how everything works before launching something new.
Location: Things were convenient
There were added fees for parking I didn't expect. I was able to add hotel parking to my room, however neither the hotel staff or the parking garage people knew how the system worked. I had problems getting in and out of the garage, then I finally figured out how it worked.

Pros: The Happy Hour and breakfast is very nice.
Cons: Faster service at the buffet at breakfast. People taking food off carts when the servers were switching trays.
Location: AMC theater close buy.
Ran out of food for happy hour. Ran out of forks for breakfast and had to use plastic, that is kind of trashy.

Fined for not littering

Posted 26-Jan-2016
So the hotel was nice minus getting sick from breakfast and them charging me three hundred dollars for not throwing my cigarette butts outside. I put my butts in the trash can in my room and they charged me 300 for smoking in my room i guess they want u to litter instead of throwing ur cigarette butts away.what a joke so i called and they said they would call back and still have not.
