GREAT Staff!! Clean Hotel

Posted 27-Aug-2015
Pros: Staff and location! Clean rooms that were are well maintained.
Cons: Perhaps a few larger suites or rooms that connect?
Location: Sky deck, Millennium Park, River Walk, and every amazing food you can imagine are in walking distance. FIND THE FOOD TRUCKS.
I judge hotels more seriously by observing their customer service when dealing with disgruntled guests. When we encountered a problem, they tried to amend it as well as they could. When my family became even more agitated, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It could have gone another directly entirely, but the staff always remained calm and reassuring and deescalated the situation. Not always easy or possible depending on who's behind the front desk. My family left happy after a long stay and that speaks volumes. Carlos! You deserve a medal and a raise!! It's a good hotel in a pretty great location. The rooms aren't huge, but it's a crime to use it for more than sleeping with so much to see in the area. Get a map at the front desk, it will serve you well.

Schönes zentrales Hotel

Posted 27-Aug-2015

Will be booking through hotels directly for now on.

Nice Hotel in a great location

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: location, and quiet elegance.
Cons: The room is a little small by American standards, but really plenty large.
Location: I ran on the river walk and along the lake. It was wonderful! Close to theater district and shopping. It's a nice central location.
Hotel staff were very kind and pleasant. I like the free filtered water, available by the elevators. Love the Keurig coffee maker in the room, with a nice selection of coffees. The toiletries were top line. The room is a bit small, but was more than adequate for 2 people. Included a comfortable side chair and desk. It is close to all of the Chicago fun!

Excellent Central Loop Location

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: The bathroom was rather small. It was a creative use of space, though.
Location: Restaurants, shopping, and the Lake are all nearby.
I stayed here on business while attending a conference that was held in several hotels in Chicago's Loop. The location was quite simply outstanding. Not only was it centrally located to many of the Loop hotels and restaurants, it was about a block from all the major downtown L lines. The room was clean and nicely appointed.

Bait and Switch

Posted 25-Aug-2015
Pros: Location was ok, however you are blocks away from the subway at Adams, and much closer at the north location. The gym was ok, but smells.
Cons: Expedia could not bait and switch, and kitchenette should mean a kitchenette.
So half of this is about Expedia and the bait and switch, the other is on the hotel itself. So when I booked this hotel, I specifically wanted to get the one at the north side, by the trump tower and river walk. Thats where I had business to attend to, and not the one on Adams. I don't know how this got switched, but it seems like a bait and switch. When I got to the club quarters on the river walk, they rudely said "you booked the other one, we can't help you." What should have happened was say, "Let me call you a cab, and get you over there." No, rather I started walking the 1.5 miles. Luckily, I remembered about Uber, and got a ride that way for ~$5. So when I checked into the other hotel on Adams, check in was ok. However I booked a hotel with a kitchenette. Apparently this means microwave and fridge. Since when does this mean no stove top? Annoying to say the least. Hotel informs us, this IS their definition :( Then on the checkout process, they tried to charge for overnight parking - I didn't have a car, remember my walking from you OTHER location? I don't think i'd stay here again, and I would not recommend the bait and switch Expedia practices

Great location, nice place

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Pros: Security and friendliness. Very helpful and cheerful. The hotel also furnishes a very large media room along with bottled water. Great idea!
Cons: We had no problems with anything.
Location: Even though we had some hot days, we walked to all of the places we wanted to see like the Cultural Center, beautiful place to check out on both sides
We had driven some 950 miles to Chicago. We found the place with no problems and left the car to the valet parking for the first day, good idea in my opinion. The valet parking helped us out a bunch with setting up the less costly validated parking for the remainder of our stay, great folks.

Perfect location for downtown Chicago

Posted 19-Aug-2015
Pros: Everything suited our needs.
Cons: The rooms were a little on the small side, but not uncomfortably so.
Location: About half way between the Art Institute and the Willis Tower and the Amtrak station was a few blocks past the Willis Tower. This was perfect for us.
We were just spending one night in downtown Chicago and wanted a location that we convenient to the Amtrak station and the Art Institute. Club Quarters Central Loop location was perfect. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though not fancy. There's a pub-style restaurant next door which suited us fine. There were other amenities available, e.g., fitness room, lounge, etc., but we had no need or interest in using them. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
