The external photos conveniently leave out the sketchy lots and poorly lit outside view. The 2nd floor smelled powerfully of sewage, which we heard other guests needing corrected. Signage does not accurately depict avaialble amenities of resources. The furniture was near to breaking just by a bag being placed on it. Finally, the water is so murky and grey that it isn't fit to brush your teeth.

The property is very nice and the staff are excellent. The south loop area has several empty buildings and not a lot of foot traffic, which makes it feel less safe than other areas in Chicago. But if you’re visiting for an event at McCormick, this is a great hotel to stay at.

For the prices of the stay this hotel needs maintenance work done in each room the stopper in the tub kept falling down while taking a shower and the water rises to the point where you would have to put something under it to let the water out as you shower also the owner needs to update they're website and take free breakfast off of it cause that's call false advertising

This hotel needs maintenance work done, we had to be moved from room to room they also need to update they're website about free breakfast and there isn't no free breakfast other than that the price was reasonable from Monday to Friday

The overnight staff was professional and kind. I really appreciated that. The shower got hot, but not very hot like I ike it. It also sprayed water while running and while turning off. I could see dust on the walls. The place was very quiet which made for a good night's rest. Vending only had beverages and the front desk only had chips & beverages for purchase. Options for breakfast/room service only included ordering from an off site vendor.

I had to book two rooms. My husband, myself, my mom and our five children all needed to be comfortable. My original rooms were on two different floors and the front desk clerk changed the rooms so we would be on the same floor. I didn't even have to ask for that accomodation. She also knew who I was, even though I booked at the last minute. She was very polite and gave paper with a pack of crayons to each of my children. The rooms were clean and warm. Very comfortable.

This place is a ratchet-train-wreck. The staff are rude and practically non-existent. The cleanliness level is atrocious. They simply don’t put any effort into cleaning the rooms. Nothing works, including the staff: -lamps are broken -key cards don’t work -heater/air conditioner has two settings, Hell and Antarctica -Hot water is spotty in the showers -Strike plates missing from doors from where they were kicked in -Elevator sounds like a dying mongoose -alarm clock broken -refrigerator freezes everything Avoid this hell-hole at all cost.

Great staff in a just ok hotel
The hotel was good enough for our trip. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was dated and didn't offer any of the amenities that the website stated. There was no breakfast, no restaurant, or no bar. Part of the reason we chose the hotel was for the amenities.

Thinking about staying here? Don’t! This place is grungy, dirty, old, in an unsafe neighborhood, and the staff, while possibly kind, are uninterested and unavailable to you. The rooms are dark, dingy, dirty (stains everywhere on carpet, etc.) and kind of gross. In the bathroom, the shower curtain does not even cover the whole tub. Miserable experience and a waste of money.

Outdated Hotel
I can tell this used to be a nicer hotel, but not anymore. Today, it is a bit run down. The outlets in the bathroom were so loose that every slight movement and the hair dryer & my curling iron comes unplugged. The fire detector is broken. A few of the lights don’t work. Broken floor tiles in the Lobby. Outdated decor. There is no Breakfast. Not too terribly bad, but definitely not great. Parking is good.

Ms.Jackie was the best. Very welcoming attitude. Offered suggestions when we arrived earlier than room ready. Assisted with parking. Only down fall was the dining area was not available for breakfast as the website displayed so we were slightly disappointed but when it came to true check in time after 3pm the front desk lady was very knowledgeable about getting us checked in quickly. Room key didnt work when we arrived but the desk girl immediately resolved the issue with an upgrade and wasted no time in getting us comfortable. Just wish the other guest that had room key issues wasn't so angry over the same issue we had.

Coffee maker left very dirty that we have to clean it ourself and no microwave anywhere in the building where we could get hot water since theres no microwave available.we are assign to a room facing the train station where its so loud we cant hardly sleep. Only good part about the place is its around downtown so we dont have to drive farther.
