Customer service needs an upgrade

Cons: Customer service
Customer service needs to be beefed up. I was sharing a twin room with a colleague and we asked for a room without a bidet soon after check-in. The person at the front desk was extremely unaccommodating. Later in the evening, we were given a different room, again with a bidet!!

Choose a better hotel

Very indifferent staff. No one bothered to explain us the hotel facilities or inclusives. Room temperature inconsistant. Breakfast buffet not as elaborate as advertised. Stale anniversary cake by the hotel in the room. Will not suggest for leisure purpose.

Convenient to BOM airport

Grand old hotel. The floor I was staying on was updated and quite nice. The surrounding area is pretty bad, however.

Centally-located, luxurious hotel.

As a Melbournian, I had an overnight stay here at the conclusion of an Indian holiday with my flight home the next morning. With the price I paid, I expected a luxurious, comfortable stay and this is exactly what I got. All staff were friendly and assisted with a smooth check-in/check-out process. Had room service, the food was OK. The next morning at breakfast, food was a vast improvement on that, with a wide selection of tasty items available. Would recommend, particularly for those in transit with upcoming International flights out of Mumbai.

Beautiful hotel but lacking some touches

Location: Convenient to the airport
We had a lot of trouble adjusting the room temperature and the shower temperature. It was FREEZING in the room and we finally had to call the front desk to get the AC to stop running. I never did the shower to warm up enough and just took a very short one. Other than that, the hotel was very nice, especially the lobby and bar/lounge area. Breakfast was really good. Some ambient noise from the street but not too bad.

Nice hotel with a few annoyances

The hotel itself is quite lovely and nice-looking. The rooms are pretty nice too. However, the shower/toilet area is seriously small. During the shower, there is no room to move away from the water so that you can wash your body with soap. Forget about a couple taking a shower together. The first night of my stay, I could not get Wi-Fi. The front desk person could not help me so he connected me to an IT department, but I was put on hold for 20 minutes. Since nobody answered, I hung up, and went down to the front desk. A manager finally put my IP address manually in his system so that I could have Wi-Fi. I am grateful to the manager, but it was a frustrating experience nevertheless. The restaurant where the breakfast is held is pretty dull with absolutely no music. The majority of the patrons were old people. Room service menu includes a dish called crispy calamari salad which is wonderful. I had a haircut in the hotel salon. I have never had any hairdresser put so much effort and care into giving a great haircut as Almita did. Thank you!

Traditional and Quiet Hotel next to the airport

Cons: Keep doing the excellent job!
Location: Near the airport
A hotel with a character, beautifully designed, terrific staff especially Anant at the reception desk, Ashish and Sandeep at the Lounge restaurant, Jeeven as a piano player plying Jazz and others who worked in the restaurant making delicious dosas and omelette and othe staff who made our stay comfortable and memorable. We will come back to this jem again!

Poor service in hotel owned restaurants.

Pros: Location close to the airport
Cons: See comments above.They should visit other countries and study how airport hotels operate. The prices in general are 2X of what they deserve in India.
Location: There is nothing to do in Mumbai nearby. Most area around the airport is semi-slum. Streets are not well lit and not safe to walk after 6 PM.
Few points to consider. 1> Poor service in food area: In all visits to their restaurants, had to wait 30 min to 1 hr for the first connect with the server. 2> Food prices: They are more than international range. Remember service charges of all kinds add up to 40% on top of inflated prices. Buffet dinner cost me $35 per person and breakfast about $25. 3> Room comfort was so so. Our room smelt like smoking room. On complaint, they say the floor has some smoking rooms and we might have got the smell through A/C. 4> Complimentary pick-up is $15-20 for 1 km distance from terminal! This should be provided for free. 5> Most international flights arrive and leave Mumbai in the midnight. So even if you take the room for a day, they charge for extra day. They need to provide 24 hr check in-out facility.
