Pretty hotel with great facilities

Posted 30-Aug-2017
Pros: The hotel's facilities and atmosphere
Cons: The chairs in the room were a little worn
Location: Beautiful location surrounded by fields and just on the outskirts of Wrexham and probably about 20 minutes from Chester.
Stayed here for 1 night on our way back home from the north. Beautiful hotel and the facilities were great, especially for what we paid. The chairs in the room were a little worn and the view wasn't the best, but that didn't matter as the room was large and had a comfy couch and the location was perfect.

DISAPPOINTING

Posted 14-May-2017 on Hotels
Driveway and reception area looked promising - stayed one night in a family room - the room was very hot and dark - dining, seating was not comfortable, food on chair and one chair was at an angle to seat - we manouvered our plates and chairs -- bedroom 2 was very hot because it was above the leisure complex - we were told in the morning we could of asked for a fan - maybe one should of been left in the room - the cool air with our head out of the window helped!

A hidden gem in Wrexham

Posted 22-Jan-2017
We stayed as a family of 3 on a Friday night. Hotel staff were pleasant on arrival and gave instructions to get to our room. It is fair to say the hotel is very igglety pigglety and instructions involved up, down, around and back on yourself to get the room. It also happened to be the furthest room away in the world, and with a tired 3 year old it wasn't the greatest. Once in the room we found they had prepared the bed for our little one and though dated, the room itself was fine. My only small issue would be that they only provided cups and biscuits for 2 though there were 3 of us. The bathroom was large in size but had seen better days. The window sill obviously hadn't been cleaned in some time and the blind was broken. The rest was absolutely fine. We didn't eat at hotel restaurant and drove into Wrexham which has amazing shopping and eateries. Breakfast was £15 per head at hotel and we couldn't warrant an extra £45 for 3 of us. We would defiantly stay at the hotel again and I know there are planned room upgrades so that will add some extra luxury to a hotel, that in all honesty, was a pleasant change from the usual 'high street' priced places.

Not the best around

Posted 22-Dec-2016 on Hotels
The room was tired, the pillows were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was very old fashioned. The shower is possible the worst I have seen in any hotel I have stayed in, very difficult to get a temperature that was not boiling or freezing, and whilst it was powerful it had a very narrow spray resulting in it being very uncomftable.
