Fantastic Hotel

Posted 02-Feb-2016
Pros: Close to all the shops, beautiful surroundings, polite and professional staff
This was our first visit to this hotel, set in the centre of Chester. It was a surprise for my husband's birthday and to my delight we received a complimentary upgrade on our room when we arrived! The room was amazing and the staff were attentive and courteous at all times. We didn't manage to sample the food at the restaurants, as they were fully booked. However, the breakfast in the morning was perfect. The only thing I would mention is that I paid for breakfast to be included yet the following day I was charged for breakfast. When questioning I was advised I had only paid for continental so be careful.

Grand hotel but room disapointing

Posted 21-Jan-2016
Pros: The stairway area was beautiful and you were made to feel welcome and also special by the staff
Cons: Our room needed updating. Our room was a suite and to us it wasn't a suite or what we expected.
Location: It is in the center of Chester, perfect location to go out for food and shopping. Close to the main/local attractions also
The hotel was very grand and the staff were welcoming but we felt the room was tired and needed updating. The TV was very small, the bathroom was very basic and the majority of the space was taken up by the hall area. We felt the price only reflected the status of the hotel and not the actual room its self.

Grosvenor Hotel overnight stay

Posted 15-Jan-2016
Pros: The grandure of the building and the internal decoration .
Cons: The hovering of some of the staff for a tip .
Location: Great location for shopping and dining out .
The Hotel is excellent , room very clean and spacious . The doorman opened the front door as we approached but carried on talking to a colleague and ignored us as we spoke to him on two occasions . I am a person who likes to tip but I found the staff hovered too long around us and made it much too obvious they wanted a tip . Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Grosvenor Hotel .

Understated luxury in Chester City Centre.

Amazing hotel! Note on driving up to the hotel... it's a shopping street packed to the brim with pedestrians. Nice valet service.

Perfection!!

Posted 07-Dec-2015
Stayed here for one night as a gift to my husband. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommended. We received a free upgrade to a junior suite that was just impeccable. We spent some time in the spa and each had a massage to get into the relaxation frame of mind. It was lush. In the evening we ate from the a la cartel menus at the Simon Radley restaurant and, oh my goodness, it was indescribably good. The wait staff were fantastic and the food was out of this world. As it was a special occasion we were given celebratory chocolate cigars. Following this we went to the Brasserie bar and enjoyed some more drinks. There was a singer in the bar singing traditional Christmas songs and old jazz tunes. It was just perfect. A ln absolutely magical weekend. Thank you Chester Grosvenor!

Relaxing Stay

Posted 03-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Very relaxing stay. Excellent night sleep and very friendly staff. My wife tried the Spa for a facial and was thoroughly relaxed by the experience. Very centrally located for all the sites in Chester. Great to be able to have your car valet parked with no stress about parking. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
