Gorgeous Surroundings

Posted 20-Aug-2016
Cons: Water pressure in the showers - not ideal when you have long thick hair to wash and rince
Gorgeous Hotel - Ideal Surroundings - Breakfast and Evening Meal was very nice. Friendly & helpful staff. Easy Check In and out

Great Hotel - Lacking WiFi

Posted 06-Jul-2016
Lovey hotel in a lovey setting. All this hotel needs is a good wifi connection. The Internet at the moment is hardly useable because of the speed.

Great hotel, great food but internet is terrible!

Posted 08-Jun-2016
Lovey hotel in fantastic setting in the Welsh countryside. Food is very good, staff very friendly and great gym facilities. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the speed of the Internet. It is far too slow and in 2016 when the Internet is the source of most things we do and is essential for business travel this really needs an upgrade. This issue is putting others off from staying at the hotel currently. Please change the Internet and bring the hotel into the 21st century.

good value and helpful staff

We needed a single night stay in the area and the hotel fitted the bill with its location. The setting was lovely with its grounds nicely cared for so that it has a good appearance on arrival. The staff were efficient and friendly. Our room was a good size and clean. Nice large bed which was comfortable for a good nights sleep. Would book again when in the area.

This was OK. We were moved having booked a different Best Western and apparently this one was better. There were a few niggles though - the room was pretty small and a few things didn't work or were just annoyingly absent - heated towel rail didn't work, neither did the extractor fan in the bathroom, the only toiletries were shower gel and shampoo on wall fixed units (no soap) and a tube of body lotion that was really difficult to get out of the tube. There was also only one bathrobe and one pair of slippers for two of us. The remote control on the telly didn't work and the light switches were overcomplicated. So cumulatively, these little niggles were a bit annoying. The breakfast and bar food were good. There was a live singer on in the breakfast room who was quite good but it felt weird being sang to at breakfast so I'd skip that given the choice.
