Fabulous Hotel, excellent service, great rooms and food. We have stayed here every weekend prior to Christmas for the past 3 years and I will be booking a fourth stay.
Stunning venue. Comfortable and clean room with a very nice shower. Considering we had two dogs which I phoned ahead about I wish we hadn’t been on the first floor far from the entrance. This is the only grumble as we had a lovely stay. Wish we had time to use the spa
Had a great one night stay with my mom for her birthday and visited cheshire oaks and Chester, both very close and easy to find, pool looked great but just didn't have time to use. Breakfast was lovely as was dinner in the restaurant, will def stay there again!
Homeley hotel, great location for what we needed, which was to be between Manchester and Chester. The hotel was also in close proximity with plenty of bars and food places. The staff were helpful and made us a lovely cooked breakfast. If I need to stop in the Warrington area again I will be booking ...
Chester in northwest England has a very varied landscape of pastureland, winding river valleys and hills that rise towards the North Welsh Hills in the south and the Peak District to the east. This is a landscape ideally suited to a wide range of sporting and outdoor activities. Visitors come here throughout the year to play golf on courses at Chester, Crewe and other locations. Boating is popular on the Irish Sea coastline and walking holidays very much in vogue, so when you stay at a Cheshire adventure sport hotel you'll have plenty of things to keep you occupied.
From the Southern Pennines to the Welsh Hills, Cheshire's landscape can be rugged towards its borders but levels out in the interior, creating a wealth of sporting opportunities. Based at a Cheshire adventure sports hotel you can use the county's excellent road network to get between venues, and your hotel itself will be close to local outdoor attractions and have all the information you need. Whether you plan to go rambling in Delamere Forest or take the kids to Gulliver's World Theme Park, it's all there on your doorstep.
Cheshire Adventure Sport hotels such as Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa in Chester or Mottram Hall in Macclesfield have all the facilities and services you require to enjoy outdoor activities and sports in their areas. The Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa in Tarporley for example has beautiful grounds as well as spa and sauna facilities and an indoor pool. Whether you're into tennis, golf or swimming, staying at a venue like this on your Cheshire break will be just the thing.
The Cheshire landscapes around Tilston and Malpas in the south merge with the North Wales Hills and make perfect bases for exploring more of this exciting and diverse region. Much of the land has a network of pathways especially designed to meet the needs of walkers and ramblers, and there are plenty of villages and hamlets to stop off at along the way for refreshments.
