"Lovely country b&b"
Very friendly staff who were happy for the dogs to come with us to this comfy clean and roomy b&b, personally I prefer a bath to a shower but that was the only thing I could fault. Would certainly go there again.

"Lovely hotel, great location"
The reception is very grand and impressive. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were particularly pleased with the knowledge of the area one reception staff member had which she shared with us ensuring we got the most out of our weekend. We had never been to Chester before so this was much appreciated. The room was a tad smaller than I'd hoped but was only a standard so can't be too disappointed. It was very clean and had everything in it we needed. If staying longer than 3 nights however a bigger room would be better. The restaurant and bar were also very pleasing, with wide selection of meals and nice wines. The gardens were pleasant although there were 3 weddings taking place across the 3 nights we stayed and they take up some of the garden area. They also made breakfast quite busy!! We also used the spa facilities which were very impressive. The sauna was out of use but this didn't bother us. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

"Fantastic customer service made our stay."
We booked into a deluxe room at the Grosvenor recently and due to a misinterpretation of the facilities available in the room we were left a little disappointed. The staff (especially Danielle) went above and beyond when ensuring they did everything possible to make us happy, and turned a potentially disappointing stay into a fantastic one. The Grosvenor is a great hotel, and its location and facilities are deserving if its 5 star status, however its the staff that it a very special hotel.

"Clean and comfy"
After mediocre experience last year - though bar food much improved - good to see staff particularly improved In helpfulness and speedy check in and out.. In restaurant at breakfast efficient. Poached eggs done to order arrived swiftly. Rooms always good standard though could do without boot camp shouting outside the window early evening when I just want some time out

"Beautiful hotel "
We stayed at the hotel as we were going to a concert at Betley Farm. It is a stunning hotel in beautiful surroundings. Our room was modern and comfortable and we had use if the gym and swimming pool during our stay. We had to wait for a table at breakfast but the food was delicious and there was lots of choices to choose from. Overall we thought that it was great value for money and we would definitely return.

"A lovely hotel run by really nice people."
A really welcoming homely hotel that really made our stay in Chester. We had a very well appointed double room overlookinfg the river and weir. Natural features that added to the relaxing feel about the place. Special mention for what amounted to a culinary tour de force! We would recommend the fine dining in itself. The staff were attentive, young and energetic with nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be back and thanks to all for a wonderful stay.
