Frustrating that we paid for priority seats and £25 each way per checked bag with the assurance our bags would be given priority. However, those people who didn’t pay priority and some of whom hadn’t paid for checked luggage and had large cabin pages taken from them and put in the hold, their hold bags came onto conveyor first. This seems unfair - I’m sure the new baggage system whereby large hand luggage is placed in the hold, will help cut down on the ridiculous efforts people make to avoid paying for hold luggage and cramming huge bags into overhead lockers. But I don’t think it’s fair for these people to be rewarded by receiving their luggage first when they haven’t paid. Surely, this risks creating a situation where nobody pays and everybody has their bag taken from them at the gate. I believe bags should be reviewed at checkin and taken to be placed in the hold at this point. If I’ve paid for my luggage to be handled as priority that’s what I expect to receive.
