Hotel was nice but needs a lot of maintenance work done and the plunge pool/spa should be cleaned every day when guests are staying this was only done when we arrived and when we requested it, which was not often because we had to go to the trouble of requesting it.
Lots of mosquitoes they should provide some coils or other protection as the living area is outside and the shower/toilet areas are open, I got bitten even though I kept on using a spray or cream.
A world apart, set on a glorious white sandy beach fringed with coconut palms, The Briza Beach Resort and Spa provides total …More
This hotel was fantastic! It was close to the night life and a very busy strip. We had breakfast included which was delicious. The beach was great and the room was clean! The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks were a bit pricey and pool was noisy and under shade, so no sunbathing here! In terms of the cost of the room this reasonable but we went in the off season. It is a short drive from the airport with the hotel arranging a cheap transfer.
First of all the hotel is very cheap for what you get so we were happy about that, however we still had some issues.
The staff were generally friendly until we complained about the shower being cold and the rain shower not working in our room. First they got a cleaning staff member to have a look but of course she couldn't do anything so they called their 'plumber'. we left while he was fixing it, excepting it to be done when we got back but nothing was changed except the rain shower worked a tiny bit better (still no where near properly). We called them again, but this time to also mention the pipe in the sink that was leaking, and again they called the plumber however he could only fix the sink, not the shower. Eventually they tried to settle it by saying that the shower temperature is the same in every other room. We definitely weren't happy but couldn't be bothered fighting with them again about it.
Overall however our room was actually really clean and roomy which we were quite impressed with.
The breakfast was ridiculous- barely any decent choice however you can't expect much from the low price you pay.
the pool was pretty good, it was large and had a bar next to it. The gym wasn't too bad either. In terms of location it is pretty close to the start of Chaweng road and a very short walk to the great outdoor night food market and the beach.
Beautiful hotel on the beach. From the moment of arrival the entire staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food intolerences with one of our party was fully addressed. Rooms were spacious and clean. Wevwould definately go again
Close by Chewang and the airport. The hotel runs a limited shuttle service to their sister hotel KC Club by the beach - it's a few min car ride away.
We booked a sea view room and the view was amazing. Room came with a huge jacuzzi tub in the balcony area - the tub could of done with a good scrub as could the rest of the room! Curtains were ripped and there were a few holes in the sofa and bed sheet. The bathroom had mould around the sink and the shower tiling. We complained and they said they had no other rooms free until the next day. And they would provide a deep clean of the room whilst we were out that evening - the tiles needs regrouting - not just a deep clean - I'd be embarrassed to rent that room out. Staff were pretty unhelpful until the next day different staff offered to move us but was not a sea view room, instead regrouted the bathroom whilst we were out for the day.
Plus points - close enough to the busy district for market and restaurant and drinks. And away enough to get a quiet nights sleep.
Breakfast was average, pool area average and if want a gym whilst on hols then take some sanitising spray and avoid the ripped up treadmills which is a health hazard.
Location though is perfect and the rest of the hotel seemed very clean! Maybe we just got a bad room.....
Seven-kilometre Chaweng Beach is Ko Samui’s longest and busiest beach. It faces east, is great for surfing, and is close to the island’s airport, which has daily flights to Bangkok. Chaweng Beach is where you can find the island’s best nightlife, and it has lodging for all budget levels, but with an emphasis on upscale. Thai boxing matches are a popular event to take in while staying in Chaweng Beach.
