"We had to have a discussion with the reservation staff to get a better room. We were assigned a first floor room over looking a parking lot. After some discussion and significant increase in room cost we were moved to a larger third floor room with a nice view of Lake Geneva. What is the point of staying at the Grand Hotel du Lac if you can’t see the lake from your room. The hotel had many large tour groups who swarm in and out fast. Our overall experience was very good it is a very elegant hotel with a very professional exceedingly friendly staff. Since it sits on the waterfront with easy access to lake front walking and many restaurants along the way."

"Queein - is certainly the "host of the year" in Switzerland. We just completed our visit to her home in Puidoux, where we stayed in her gorgeous apartment overlooking colorful vineyards and Lake Geneva. Her courteous and caring personality greeted us on our arrival there and continued and only amplified each day of our stay. The view from there was surely one of the most unreally stunning vistas during our vacation in Switzerland. We viewed so many fabulous areas, where the views were truly out of this world beautiful. The apartment is very attractive and she has equipped it with most anything you'd ever need. Just perfect for a couple wanting a peaceful retreat with breathtaking continuous views. Do take the short walk down to the village to the Moutarlier patisserie for the most delightful breakfast each morning. A fabulous location to take day trips to so many exciting and truly beautiful areas of Switzerland. As a long time hotelier, I surely rate Queein's apartment a solid "10" - so much more than a mere 5 star!So many great memories - like when we arrived and left, we had the pleasant view and sound of the bells around the necks of the small group of cows grazing on the hill immediately behind our apartment."

"Lovely little hotel with stunning views of Lake Geneva. Room was quiet and comfortable, and had nice amenities. Free onsite parking was convenient. We used the optional pool and sauna which felt great after a long day of sightseeing. There was also a first class bar and restaurant overlooking the lake. 10/10 for hotel Le Baron Tavernier."
