Comfy, user friendly, nice location on a picnic area circle - oasis right near the action! Bar on site, friendly staff. Cafe has great breakfast. Wish we had a fridge but ice readily available from bar. Shower and king size bed were wonderful.

My husband and I came to stay for three nights, and had a wonderful, peaceful experience. When the heat went out temporarily in our building, the staff was right on it, and moved us to another. The fireplaces are an excellent cozy touch!

i love finding unique places to stay in when traveling and this place met every expectation and more! the staff were wonderful and attentive, the roooms were super clean and the bathroom was to die for! definitely recommend staying here if you have the chance :)

Oakhurst is a nice little inn with a very old-style feel. Positives: The staff was lovely and very helpful! The bed was VERY comfortable with a lot of nice pillows to choose from. I definitely enjoyed being close enough to their cafe to walk to it in the morning. The parking is very close to the hotel so it’s not difficult at all to move your belongings inside. Negatives: There are some very large windows which, while nice to see outside and have some natural lighting, made the room feel very exposed especially as my room was on the ground floor and right next to the main road. I don’t think there’s much insulation in the older building because it was absolutely freezing at night, especially in the bathroom. (I had to close the door at night to avoid it sucking all the heat from the bedroom) While the bathroom was gorgeous, the water temperature wildly fluctuated between boiling hot and freezing cold with no happy middle. The fitted sheet on my bed was dirty, but I didn’t go to bed until quite late, so I didn’t notice until it felt like too late to ask for them to change it. Lastly (and this was on me for not checking ahead of time) the parking for one night was $16 which felt a bit excessive to me. I think it was an ok experience for the price I paid with gold membership Expedia discount, but think there definitely needs to be some changes before I would consider staying again.

Located right on grounds so super easy and convenient to get to my son's concert and walk around. Very quaint place with oversized rooms. Very comfortable bedding as well. Will definitely try to stay here for future events.

Parking is difficult near the Inn. And the room did not have a refrigerator. We chose this location because it was advertised as 5 miles from Trump Winery. In actuality it was 35 minutes away.

Very nice hotel with an old vibe. No breakfast spot in the same building and the breakfast is actually a restaurant that doesn't have seating unless you make a reservation. We ordered to go and ate in the room and the food was excellent. Very friendly staff and close to everything. Would stay here again

We were very excited to arrive in Charlottesville with my daughter for a university tour. Unfortunately the lady at the front desk was rude and non service minded. It seemed she was inconvenienced by our questions which did not make us feel very welcome. The hotel hardly had anything on offer, only three sharing platter options that the bartender plated in front of me by the bar. He however was very friendly. There was nothing offered in terms of a coffee or tea in the morning and we found one apple on offer before we left. All other stays we have had during our road trip has offered at least coffee/tea and some fruit. We also had to pay for parking on the property and the cost was $16.99 plus tax. Once again why charge for parking on the parking lot on the premises? This is really cheap by the hotel. Although a cute set up and surroundings beautiful we would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The price was too expensive for what it offered.

A lovely old school Inn with modern amenities!
Arrived on a Monday evening to a delightful jazz group playing in the very traveler friendly gathering area/lobby. Nicely appointed rooms in a stately older building that has been well loved and maintained.

Check in was very confusing. There is little signage to indicate exactly where to park for check in and parking is extremely limited around the main building where the check in takes place. The inn is actually 3 separate buildings which again is very confusing. Our room was in a building separate from the reception desk and the directions to for finding it were sketchy. The room itself was old and almost barren. It had limited sitting space and counter space. To say it was “straight out of the Fifties would not be an exaggeration. The best part about the inn is the location (adjacent to the UVA campus). Overall, I would give the Oakhurst Inn 2.75 based on the inadequacies compared to price. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for “comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price.”
