Loved the space, the room and the common area. The staff was mixed. Some very helpful and nice, others not so much. The staff in the monkey bar wouldn't give you the time of day. Air conditioning had major problems, causing a continuous grinding sound.
I stayed at Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin and I would stay again. As a silver member of Expedia, I was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I turned on my television screen.
A personalized letter was handed to me from the floor manager of the hotel letting me know that my needs were a priority and that my comfort was a guarantee. He owned up to his end of the deal.
Upon my arrival I was bumped up and offered a better room than the one I originally paid for and I am an overall satisfied customer.

There were a few bits not working in the room - a plug socket and the hairdryer but the staff were so friendly and helpful you didn't like to complain. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was great.
Located in the cheaper part of Berlin you are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking at a reasonable price.
This hotel is only a short train journey from all the action I.e. Museums etc.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and plan on staying there again the next time I am in Berlin.
"Lovely quiet hotel close to good transport links"
My husband and I had a wonderful 10 days at this hotel. Large spacious room with a sitting area and huge tv. The free bar was a real treat. The room had good air con and was spotlessly clean. We did not eat at the hotel as there were plenty of places to eat near by. One excellent restaurant we found on our last day was the Dicke Wirtin about a 10 to 15 min walk away, great German food, huge portions at great prices. The hotel is situated in a quiet street not far from the Zoo where there are excellent transport links to all of Berlin. The 100 and 200 buses from the Zoo station are a great way to see all the major sites for a few euros. There is a U station at the bottom of the street from the hotel we used this to get to and from the airport, a couple of line changes nothing major. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family if they were visiting Berlin.

Prussian palace meets Berlin city chic at Brandenburger Hof, with an imaginative mix of impressive palatial rooms and snappy …More
The hotel is perfectly based close to the Zoological Garden. We were there in a bit of a heatwave and the aircon left a lot to be desired and appeared to be switched off centrally after day two (not good when it was 40c)
Housekeeping issue was room not cleaned on arrival and it took 5 visits to the reception to finally get sorted.
Also if you don't put the Please clean my room' tag on the door before 0800 they won't clean without multiple visits to reception!
Located west of the city centre, Charlottenburg is a smart residential district home to the Charlottenburg Palace, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Olympic Stadium and the capitalist dreams of the Kurfürstendamm. In the former centre of West Berlin, now the Europa Centre, stands the ruined Kaiser Wilhelm Church. The famous avenue Ku'damm houses the Story of Berlin Museum and flagship stores for designer brands.
