We’re tucked away in Matthews, just outside Charlotte, where you’ll get the charm of a small town with the convenience of the city only minutes away. You will have complete private access to the home and may check yourself in at your convenience. Please, make yourself at home! We live nearby, so can be there in an emergency. We are about 35 minutes away. There might be guests in the other half of the duplex during your stay, however there is no internal connection between the homes, so you will have total privacy. We are always only a phone call/message away! This South Charlotte town of Matthews offers shopping, dining, parks and churches all within a short drive from the city's famous uptown. It is a coveted area of the Charlotte life. Golf enthusiasts may rejoice in the many courses nearby as well. There is a long drive that can fit three or four cars. There is public transportation by bus, and it is 10-15 minutes from the light rail if you'd like to park and ride into the city, which is the preferred method to avoid uptown parking. It's a nice transport. Its a busy road on the corner, however you can go running away from the main road through the neighborhood, and there are great parks very near by as well as green spaces. Courtney road has no outlet, so it is not clogged with through road traffic. You'll need a car or an Uber/Lyft to get around. There is ample parking on premises if you will bring your car. There are bus stops nearby, and taking the CATS blue line metro is a great way to get into uptown without dealing with parking. Please be advised that nightly rate increases when you add your dogs and will not show as a separate line item during the booking process. It is important to reveal the number of guests and dogs during the booking process. If you will be bringing 3 or more dogs, we kindly request that you inform us. The duplex was immaculate in terms of cleanliness, and the renovations are absolutely beautiful! However, just know that even though the listing shows a house, your entrance on the left and it is a duplex and not the entire house. We were traveling with our dog, which I felt bad about because I’m a very thoughtful traveler and only rent whole homes because my dog is still young and she barks and is very active. This residence would be fine if you have a dog that prefers to be inside most of the time. It is the first house off a VERY busy road and unfortunately while the back yard is fenced…the shared wraparound porch does not have a gate. Thankfully I traveled with a travel gate and was able to utilize that to block that exit. I still never let my dog out without me being immediately with her because of the proximity to the road. Also, if you are staying here and ordering Instacart, etc. just know they’ll deliver it to the front door which is to the neighboring duplex and kind of awkward to have to go over there and apologize. Again, gorgeous place, great furnishings, but just want for other travelers to know my experience if you’re traveling with your fur kid. ##### Jen M.
