The rooms were not bad in design, but the bedding and bathrooms were unclean. The attendant had me try three different rooms each progressively better than the first, but all had dirty linen. I could not stay there.

Could have been better for the price!
We have not been to Charleston and did not know the area. Not a desirable place to stay. The hotel needs work. The cleanliness was less than satisfactory. The beds were very uncomfortable. Even though we will not stay there again the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It was very hard to get in the room because the door was jammed. I had to bump against it before I was able to even get in the room, the guest next door came and assisted because I am an elderly woman and couldn't do it on my own. The bathroom was either just painted or spray painted because as I began to rinse it our before using, paint ended up on my hands from touch the tub. Because I was afraid of slipping and falling, I just ended up taking a bath from the sink. This needs to be rectified immediately.

This motel is not in a very nice part of town. There was damage in the bathroom and they did not provide a plug for the bathtub. They charged our credit card 3 times for our room. We canceled our stay after a day and even though we had legitimate complaints they charged us for a day we weren’t there and then raised the daily rate of the room. It was poor management and a poor quality hotel.

BEWARE. this facility was so different from what was advertised… it was a motel, not a hotel. the room had a strong stale smoke stench, the toilet seat had brown specks on the seat… not what we thought it would be. to be fair, the room was quite nice.. big bed. the two black woman at the front desk were really sweet but the older white lady was rude and unhelpful. she wouldn’t refund our room after we canceled due to being lied to about the condition of our stay. i thought as a woman she’d understand feeling unsafe in an environment with little security & groups of men whispering at you as you enter your room. would never come back :( it’s worth spending a few extra dollars on a real hotel..

The room reeked of a strong, acrid smell. The bathtub has been poorly painted over to cover wear. The baseboards and doors and woodwork are rotting and bubbled. The pool was scummy and not usable. Housekeeping took our towels and did not replace them... thank you to the front desk for fixing this.

Decent enough
We were hard pressed to find any hotel room, and rates were climbing every 10 minutes. This hotel was descent overall, though a bit 'worn'. The bathroom door had worn away edges on the top and bottom corners, you could see partly into where the door knob hole too, and the dead bolt on the room didn't work. The beds were clean and comfortable though, and sufficient for a late night and early morning.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Yes one of my beds had cigarette burns on the sheets and one of the steps going to the second floor looked like it was going to come apart very unsafe if someone stepped on that and it broke. The breakfast wasn’t That great. and parking was tough at night. I probably wouldn’t wanna stay at this hotel again.
