Beautiful setting. Idea for beaches/walks/restaurants. Very clean and comfortable. Welcoming and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

St Palais sur mer hotel.
Decent hotel in a Great location for the beach and on the Royan coastal cycle path. Check in was simpke and friendly. Breakfast was high quality continental with superb coffee and pastries. The room was small but well appointed, well maintained and very clean.

Charming, good breakfast, perfect location
The room was charming and clean. Our room was on the -1 floor, which caused a little difficulty. The only way to get fresh air was to open the door to a small patio behind the building, which also served as an emergency exit. Also, the shower drain backed up, causing a flood of the toilette and half of the bedroom. Although the staff was swift and thorough in cleaning up the overflow, they did not offer us any concession for the inconvenience and wetting of some of our luggage. However, they did help us in other matters such as local phone calls and amenities. The continental breakfast there was delightful, with a tasty array of meats, cheeses, and flaky breads and pastries.

We have used this hotel twice on our way south. It is ideal for us - quiet, very clean and serves a great breakfast

Perfect for access to the seaside.
Hotel is situated close to the beach and you can walk along coastline into Royan. Staff friendly , good for a short break.

Great hotel with a very good price tag !
Excellent location for the town and beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful with a good breakfast. Rooms were clean but could have done with a kettle for a cup of tea in the evening! I would certainly stay here again.

Good for a family beach holiday
We were allocated a very small upstairs room on arrival. Would have been OK but cramped. The owner moved us to a downstairs room with access to the terrace when she realised we were travelling with a dog. I would recommend these rooms if they are available. The hotel's position is second to none and is fantastic for access to the beach.

The staff were very helpful & friendly. We liked the wine bar and Tapas served in the evening. Breakfast was good. Room a bit small but typical French?Great location just round the corner from the lovely bay with sandy beach.

Un peu déçu
Jamais facile de donner un avis mitigé sur un établissement. Mon avis reflète mon impression sur 3 nuits passées dans cet hôtel. D'abord la bâtisse est magnifique et idéalement placée à quelques pas de la mer. La salle commune (qui sert de salle de petit déjeuner et de salon de thé) est remarquablement décorée, lumineuse (grandes baies vitrées): très agréable. L'accueil à notre arrivée était sympathique. Après il y a la chambre: nous avions une chambre triple (car pas de chambre avec lits jumeaux): même si nous n'étions que deux, il n'y avait pas beaucoup d'espace car la chambre était petite. La décoration y était très austère (un seul petit tableau pour seule décoration). Ce qui m'a surtout gêné ce sont les sanitaires: WC et douche regroupées dans une minuscule pièce. Et surtout lavabo dans la chambre: pas très intime et si l'on veut se raser ou se laver les dents, on réveille toute la chambrée. J'ai déjà vu ça dans des deux étoiles mais jamais dans des trois étoiles. Si l'on s'en tient au descriptif des chambres, il n'y a pas de salle d'eau. Le petit déjeuner: pas énormément de choix et viennoiseries très moyennes. Quand même pour le prix de 14,50 euros. Au final, ce n'est pas une expérience catastrophique mais je reste un peu déçu car je m'attendais à une prestation du niveau d'un trois étoiles.

Très bon accueil, le personnel est avenant, aimable et en meme temps tres pro. La suite est un peu petite mais agréable et confortable. Dommage que la séparation coin nuit enfant et chambre ne se fasse que via un rideau. Le salon est juste top et là encore le personnel de l'hôtel est parfait. Tout est fait pour que l'on se sente bien. Les installations balneo sont modernes et tres propres. Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de tester les soins, mais les salles sont tres bien.

En séjour court, chambre très exigüe. Salle de bain en deux parties. Pas d'insonorisation donc nous profitons du bruit des autres chambres. Un peu déçu de notre passage. En revanche la salle des petits déjeuners est très agréable ce qui tranche avec notre chambre

Excellent établissement hôtelier a taille humaine. Personnel adorable, chaleureux et attentif à vos besoins. Design stylé. Chambre très propre et confortable. Peut être un léger bémol avec le bruit sur l étage : le plancher du premier étage grince et, du rez, vous entendez bien les clients se coucher à l étage. J'ai adoré mon séjour
